SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Feb 8th
Good Morning, everyone!
Yesterday's wine-tasting was great! The rain even stopped! We tasted a lot of great wines and a few sour ones. We only bought one bottle though - as a thank you to our DD and SIL for the trip. But we were tuckered by the time we got home - 12 hours. Too long in the saddle for these old folks!
JANA - your layette is so personal and unique. No one will ever have the same thing.
JO - OK, next wine tastng trip, you can go. And I'll drink your tastes for you! Because I'm a helpful kind of person.
IRISH - Well, if you make a flight to WA, I'll make sure you get a flight of vino to celebrate!
CHICKIE - we added leftover rice from earlier in the week to our leftover stew and it made a new, even better dish! Glad your LQS in Edna is doing so well. Such a fun shop to visit!! When I got home, I stopped by my LQS - only a mile away - and saw they added a ton of new fabrics! I couldn't make up my mind so got just a few yards of a new WOW.
BECCA - I thought of you yesterday. A lot. As we were only about 50 miles from your DGS. And the rain just stopped for us all day long! I was hoping it did for him, too.
Well, we are all out of leftovers - other one one last bowl of "stewp". I'm thinking of those frozen pork chops I've been talking up this week. With baked sweet potatoes and a salad. But DH often throws me a curve when I talk to him later in the morning. So we'll see . . .
Happy Suppertime!

Another two feet of snow has started to accumulate here and that will put us over the 100" mark. I think I shall make a bacon and broccoli quiche for dinner.

I forgot to sign in here today... I really am not bragging, but it's 73 here and I have been outside all day. I hung out 2 loads of laundry and have been helping DH mend fences. The cows were in the hay meadow, and we found a hole where the fence was broken. Next we check all the fences and made some repairs. Too nice to stay in, and these days are scarce this time of year!
We had pork chops, fried apples, stuffing and broccoli last night. There are enough left over for tonight. I'll have to make more apples, however, as they are DH's favorite. I'll probably have some sauerkraut with my chop.
Rhonda--that's just too much snow! It's hard to imagine. Quiche sounds delicious. I'll have to do that maybe later this week.
Enjoy!
