SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Jan 19th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jan 18, 2015 4:31 pm

Well, now wasn't that a game yesterday! It's possible that a few of you missed it, but let me share a couple of highlights - the Seahawks were dreadfully behind. And then they won the game in a spectacular overtime period! We're going to the Super Bowl! Again!! The west coast is thundering with celebrations.

We're leaving Yuma today and moving about 80 miles north to camp in the desert near Quartzsite, AZ. We'll be there only a few nights before starting for home.

Supper tonite will be leftover soup made from leftover pot roast and veggies. Simple to reheat. I might do biscuits, too. The frozen Rhodes dough 'recipe'. One of my favorite ones!

What's your favorite 'recipe'? Will you be having it for supper tonite?

Rollin', rollin', rollin'... keep that RV rollin'...

MaryZ--congratulations on the BIG win! Know you are so anxious to get home. Hope there was no damage at your place from the storm. Can you call and check? I didn't know Rhodes made frozen biscuits (wonder why I didn't know that)... we had biscuits and gravy yesterday for breakfast--request from You-Know-Who.

Becca--I think I may copy your menu, although no cranberry salad. It really sounds good! Yay for the sun!!!

Enjoy!

Good afternoon from semi warm (40) but dreary, Sw. Pa....Winter wouldn't be too bad if it would stay like this....

Oh Mary, After watching our Penguins go down the tubes, it was a pleasure to watch an exciting game....But, what a heart stopper! At one point, I told Jim, I can't watch any more and then found myself peeking around the corner to see what was happening....I couldn't get over how, 1 minute it was pouring and then the next the sun was shinning.....Weird weather you have out there.....Safe travels.....

As for our dinner, I might treat Jim to stuffed chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, gravy and a veggie...He'll think it's Thanksgiving all over again except for the pumpkin pie...I might even find a can of cranberry sauce on the shelf......

Happy eating..................

As nice as it is today, we're going to cook burgers on the grill, add a salad to the table and maybe some veggies :-)
Congratulations Maryz
