SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Jan 16th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jan 16, 2015 2:28 am

Good Morning, fellow diners!

IRISH - yes, it's good to have such friends as these folks who are allowing us to park here. In Yuma, many of the homes have RV hook-ups because this is RV Town, Baby! Lots of snowbirds here. Some lots in the neighborhood don't have houses, but just anywhere from 2 to 5 hook-ups for RV's and folks rent them for the winter. These friends, when back at home, live about 4 miles from us and are our card-playing pals.

JOYCE - how much snow did you get?

CHICKIE - cold leftover pizza is one of my favorite breakfasts! I don't think I could hide it from me!

BECCA - Hope you are warming up! You probably don't want to hear this, but I was wearing shorts yesterday and it's going to be warmer today - mid-70's. Wish I could take some of it home with me!

We have other friends here in Yuma, too, and today is my day with 'her'. She and I both love thrift shopping so we always make a day of it when we're in town and have a nice lunch somewhere. Then our menfolk join us for supper at a restaurant. This couple are also snowbirds and live in B.C. the rest of the year.

My fridge is getting stuffed with leftovers! I'm going to have BBQ'd chicken and au gratin potatoes for breakfast! LoL!

Bon appetit`!

Good late afternoon from cold, was sunny earlier, Sw. Pa....

Mary, SHORTS!!! It's going to be a very long time before we break out the shorts....When I was in Florida, I'd actually feel guilty, being in shorts and barefeet while everyone up here were freezing their you know what off....I'd like to have that guilty feeling again, lol.....Enjoy every minute......

I had been running all day so had nothing on our menu (so what else is new).....
Becca, guess who brought home Subways, again???? I spotted the sign that read, Buy 1 6", get 1 free and the car whipped in the parking lot so fast....Jim was thrilled, he loves the steak and cheese.....Instead of cinnamon rolls yesterday, I made a couple of loaves of zucchini bread so that's for after.....

Happy eating................

Good very late afternoon,

Mary - what fun to have friends all over the country! We even have a RV hook up here - well sort of - across the street, my niece made sure that they added a larger circuit for their RV - we can use that one at anytime!

Dinner here - well it may get sparse and far between - Sarah and I are working against a deadline to get this layette done for my upcoming new granddaughter. The baby shower is on the 7th of February and we want the whole thing completed. I have the two receiving blankets upstairs and doing the crochet edge as I watch TV and just finished 2 flannel crib sheets. That makes 3 I have done for "Gracie" - her name will be Gracelyn, but called Gracie. So that just leaves us the quilt, bumper pads, dust ruffle, diaper bag and changing pad cover. Sarah wants to add a shopping cart cover to the list, but that can wait! Oh, forgot, the cover for the infant carrier - keeps out the cold air and people!

Off to start the 4 patch for the quilt and bumper pad - I only need 16 of them, at 7.5 inches - not hard, El's way!

With this much sewing I may get skinny! LOL

Enjoy,
Jana

I think we're having burgers on the grill, salad and maybe a veggie. We've about got all the leftovers eaten up :o)
