I trust you all ate well last night?
I see I goofed when I said my boys were exchanging a casserole at gifting occasions. I forgot to add 'cookbook' in there. I guess that's what I get for trying to post in the Central Time Zone. I'm two hours off my own time!

IRISH - I bet that gingerbread made your house smell all holidayish! Do you serve it with anything? whipped cream? Lemon sauce? Hard sauce?

CHICKIE - I'm picturing Doyal's face now as you told him he did indeed eat "keen-wah"! lol!! Folks, Chickie's Doyal is a sweetie, I can vouch for that!

JOANNE - that hashbrown casserole sounds delish. Though, to me, anything with potatoes of any kind sounds like it would be king of my plate!

ABITA - we watched NCIS-NO again last night. I always think of you! Well, and Scott Bakula, of course. *+*

I guess it's time for new food here. We have two frozen burgers (one beef, one veggie) we brought all the way from home and I think their time has come. So that's the menu for tonite. Probably a salad to go with - though I'd rather it were french fries.

And I might be getting a kitten today! A little 4 mo. old black/white tuxedo girl. She was found wandering the campground, lost. another couple took her in, but she keeps trying to play with their ancient poodle who wants no part of kitten play, so they don't think she's going to work out. We need a little black and white kitty to play with our little black and white dog who keeps bothering our ancient calico kitty. It all works out! But the couple wanted one more night to sleep on it first. the lady wanted to give it up but the guy, not so much. But I'm hopeful!

Afternoon from the "Tundra"....We had record low last night and I for 1 am not too happy about it.....And then to top things off, I get a call from a friend in Naples but she was calling to tell me, she was cold, only in the 50s when she got up.....I felt so bad for her, NOT!

OH Mary, I am so hoping you get the kitten...But, then you know me and kittens/cats.....Our Kelly is, I guess what you'd call a tuxedo, all black with a touch of white under her neck and her fur is like velvet and has the loudest voice, especially in the mornings....I do believe, all households need at least 2 kittens/cats.....

Well, I guess we'll be having new food today also...Not sure what it might be but there has to be something in the freezer....The gingerbread was a hit and is almost gone....We have it "undressed", just full of raisins............

Mary, I'm rooting for you to get that kitten! She sounds purrfect for you!
Irish your kitty sounds so pretty! My younger brother has 3 cats, his yellowish / orange one is my favorite, I don't remember his name, I call him Squishy Kitty, he feels just like a soft squishy stuffed animal!
I'm going to venture into unknown territory tonight and try my hand at egg plant parmesan, I'll make some meat sauce for Frankie and we'll have salad too.

I am at the rent. Forgot to thaw anything. On purpose? ?? We are goimg to a DGD's confirmation this eve, so will probably get a burger (DH) and salad for me.
