Houston Quilt Show

Post by AbitaQuilterMom » Fri Oct 31, 2014 7:23 pm

Hi everybody, I wish all of you going to Houston safe travels and happy hunting! My only time to go was when we lived in Houston in 2000. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with DS2 while pushing DS1 in a stroller! I must have really wanted to go badly. The show was huge then, I can only imagine now.

Speaking of DS2, he returns from FFA convention later today(Saturday). He has had a great time. I appreciate your prayers for his safe travels.

Happy All Saints Day, from south Louisiana

DSIL and I had a fantastic time. I will be posting photos in the next couple of days. DSIL and DBIL fly home to Kansas on Sunday. May fish Saturday, so don't hold your breath on photos. LOL

Your trip to quilt show sounds like my camping trip with kids that age. What was I thinking!!

Thank You for your well wishes. We all did have a great time. I did not make long days of it. You are right, it is overwhelming and awesome!!!

My wonderful DH dropped me off each day, then I called on cell phone when I was tired and ready to leave. Took him about 1/2 hour to drive from our campground to pick me up. But last year we both went together so we paid for two admissions. He was just keeping me company. This year he said that I could attend two days for the same price by him dropping me off and picking me up. What a great guy!!!!!

Hope to hear about all the bargins everyone found.
