SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Oct 20th
What a rainy, RAINY morning! But it's OK. I can use more cats and dogs!
So, you all found our Supper Club meeting yesterday! It was a test. Actually it was a test of whether or not I should ever post anything after a glass of wine! lol!! Apparently I shouldn't.
Today we have dental appts, a vet appt, and a truck appt. In between all that I have some mending to do and I need to add nagging to my list to get DH to clean the garage. I did half of it myself yesterday. The rest is his deal. It has to be cleaned this week because we are having Warren over for dinner on Sunday and we need to wheel him in through the garage (no steps there). Bill has a bunch of junk he piled there 2 months ago and hasn't touched since.
So - supper. What to have, what to have. There is enough meatloaf and potatoes for one of us. Ditto that old chix noodle casserole, but it might have gone around the bend by now and I hate to tempt fate. I did that once with blue cheese dressing. Fate won that one. So maybe it will just be meatloaf sandwiches and salad. Or fried potatoes. Or I could dice it all up, add marinara sauce and some kidney beans, and spoon it over pasta. Still thinking .
I hope you have a better plan than I do!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Oct 20th
Guess the supper club just went out to eat yesterday. I was surprised to see it in the Sew In.
We have some chicken, but I'm thinking of putting a pot of mixed bean soup in the oven and letting it slow cook all day. I like it cooked in the oven better than any other way. I'll make cornbread for accompaniment. The chicken can be a side since there will be just a bit of bacon in the beans.
Good luck with your dinner--all your options sound good to me!
EDIT: I went with bean soup, but I used a package of cranberry beans rather than the mixed beans today. They are starting to smell really good. I think I'll do a couple of small pans of cornbread rather than a big one--one "regular" and one jalapeno.

Good morning,
Oh meatloaf sounds so yummy - that is what we will have today.
Later today I am making tons of raviolis - all the kids will be here for dinner and the opening game of the World series tomorrow night.
Enjoy, I am out to the barn!

Mmmmmmmm soup sounds so yummy! Maybe I can gather and have enough for a good soup
it was so cold, rainy and windy here yesterday, it took me hours for my cheeks and hands to get warmed back up.
I had a good start on my uglies this morning
I need to get the bathrooms done but hate to while Easton is here because of the cleaners, maybe that will be a right after he's picked up thing
This next weekend Mom and Dad need DH and DB to go put a metal roof on their place so we're going to be major busy and it's almost 70 miles one way. Hopefully it goes fast.

Hi everybody, For supper tonight, I made onion smothered round steak with gravy and rice. I added a can of cream of mushroom soup to give the gravy it some richness. Also we had purple hull peas and I made a little pan of corn bread. Our weather is beautiful: 52 in early morning but warms up to near 80 in afternoon. Prayers to all in need from Abita Springs
