SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Oct 9th
Good Morning! (though I'm cheating and it's actually the evening of the 8th. but I have time now and won't in the morning.)
Did you see that Pam Bono and her husband, Robert, died. Last Sept 21st, actually. In a murder/suicide incident. She was 71 and he was 78. I had just read an article about them in a magazine 2 days ago, their business, their home, etc. And I heard she had cancer but I'm not sure if that figured into it. So sad.
Carol, that's such an odd circumstance about all those illegals! I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel either!
Becca - sorry about the deer, but you can send them here! I love seeing them in the yard and we so seldom do. maybe that's because we have nothing here for them to eat!
Thanks for the rice ideas. I forgot I wanted to try it in the oven. in fact, I almost forgot to cook the rice altogether! I was going to bake the squash and skip the rice, but couldn't find my squash! I looked in the fridge, the freezer (I do stuff like that sometimes), the trunk of the car, the pantry. Finally, as dinner was almost ready, I saw it in the hanging produce basket, about my eye level. Argghhh! I didn't think I'd start getting so old so soon! So no squash for us tonite.
Today we're going to the Tacoma RV Show, so I think we'll just have leftovers when we come home. (and maybe squash? lol!)
Hope you can find your supper tonite!

Good morning,
I have no idea what dinner will be or when we may get home from Cache Valley - Logan. Need to make a run to take care of the headstone engravings.
We may just grab a sandwich on the way back.
Enjoy,
Jana

MaryZ--that was so sad about Pam Bono. I wonder if her DH felt so badly for her if it was advanced stage and didn't want to live without her... I wondered if there was a terminal illness involved somewhere...
DH got hungry early, and we had "smorgasboard"--all the "must goes" from the refrigerator. It was mostly the chicken from last night, but there was rice, too. He even had gravy for a chicken dipper sauce.
We are getting rain here--so welcome! 3" so far, and I finally hear some run off going into the pond behind the house. My computer and sewing machine have been unplugged all day. I have been doing a little hand sewing and some reading.
