SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Sept 20th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Sep 20, 2014 3:57 am

Well, I've been getting little done the last couple of days and it feels kind of good! I did machine sew the binding on a quilt yesterday, and I went through all my batiks, pulling fabrics for a quilt I plan to make while in Texas in our RV this winter. If you want to see it, here's the link:

http://www.fonsandporter.com/slideshows ... e_id=729If

Today, more fabric-pulling for more projects, flu shots, helping DH with quilting a quilt (I do the freehand stuff, he does the computer stuff. current project requires us both.) and then dinner with Warren and Lois and our little 'gang' of 2 other couples (if they show. They are all unreliable like that).

JO - I'm glad the whiner was danced off, too. I couldn't have stood a whole season with her! I thought Lea Thompson was the best - until I saw the guy from the old Fresh Prince of Belair TV show. He was amazing.

JANA - Isn't your DS on the King Fire? I see they got the arsonist who started it. I think of your Daniel every time I see any fire news and send up a little prayer to keep him safe. And I KNEW you would know about the Monterey Aquariam!

IRISH - I said I sat there with 'mac & cheese' on my plate. I don't think I ever said I was eating it! lol!! How's your Chriss doing?

TINA - you probably have that B/W quilt finished by now! How big is it?

CHICKIE - taco soup sounds good to me! I'm not much of a mystery fan when it comes to my dinner! lol!

Since we're going out tonite, no cooking here! Yay! Tomorrow his the Seahawks game. I think the last of our chicken crockpot supper will be turned into a creamy chicken chowder to enjoy while watching the game.

Good morning,

Thank you for the prayers for Daniel. There are now almost 5000 firefighters on the lines now and it still is only 10% contained. Might think that it will burn until the winter snows come, but it is below snow level, so it could burn for awhile. Yes, it is the King fire. Fire command has now divided the command into 2 sections, a northern and southern, so right now I don't know which one Daniel is eorking.

Dinner - humm - no idea, but it will include chicken - we will see what happens later today.

Enjoy,
Jana

Last night the roast was awesome...and the potatoes also..so Earl is going to "doctor" the roast with BBQ sauce and will re-heat the potatoes for tonight! I will probably cook the 3 ears of corn that he got from the roadside stand the other day...Earl loves his corn!

Mary, is the Prince guy Alonso (or something like that??)...He is wonderful! I couldn't believe it...I think he was better than his "teacher"! I missed seeing her, but Earl said that the daughter of the Duck Dynasty couple was really good (and he never says much).

We'll watch the Reds play the CArdinals tonight and tomorrow we will watch the Bengals play Tennessee.

It's a little more humid today..and about 80..I puttered around the yard earlier.

Joanne

PS - I said a little prayer for all of you today.

Hi :-)
Mary, nope I'm not at home yet so still need that 1 block to finish. It's going to be 96x105. I found a cool WOW for my sashing and I'm making a piano keyboard border. We left DD and the kids at our house while we came to Cruces, they already went home and we're on our way back.
I think we might have soup for supper, something easy and that won't take a lot of thought or time :-)
Tina
