SUPPER CLUB - Thurs, Sept 11th - (sniff)

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Sep 11, 2014 12:14 pm

I totally forgot to stop by the kitchen this morning! My bad! Well, I guess we're ALMOST unanimous in our dislike - or inability to eat - venison and other wild meat. I grew up with it, ate it then, (along with trout, smelt, clams, and other seafood) and figure I'm old enough now to say ENOUGH! I ainta goin' to eat it no more!

I'm such a crab! (pun intended)

JANA, there is a guy here in WA north of us (lives up near where Sue moved to - Bellingham area) who refurbishes and sells Featherweights, too. He's the go-to guy on all things FW. But Bill just found mine on e-Bay.

The pork loin last night was delish and we have a bit left over for tonite. Also a bit of chicken, the au gratin potatoes, and some green beans. Salad will finish us off just fine.

Tomorrow night, we're invited to friends, along with another couple, so no cooking until the weekend! Whoo Hoo!

Tina--I'd definitely love your soup!

We think along the same lines. I put chicken, brown rice, lentils, broccoli and celery in the slow pot along with some broth. It came out a nice, thick stewp--soupy for me, stew for DH. We had crackers and salad with it.
