Good Morning! It's a cool morning here but rumor is we're going to 87 this afternoon - and 91 tomorrow! With T-storms on Tuesday. I feel like we're living in the midwest!
CHICKIE, you asked if we serve other dishes for our other guests even though one couple is on a special diet. Yes. We're having pre-seasoned (from Costco) Southwest chicken, wild rice, asparagus, carrots, and salad with fruit for dessert. If it were just us, I wouldn't serve the rice, but with 2 more couples, I thought I should cater to them as well. I added carrots so there would be an extra choice for the couple who aren't eating any starches. Does that make sense? no bread or rolls because NONE of us need that! Oh, and I had to BUY a watermelon, so I'll put that on the table, too. But I know it won't be as sweet as yours!
DH is going to cook the chicken in his dutch oven and the salad and dessert are being brought by other people. I'm putting out a veggie tray as an appetizer. So all I have to do is the asparagus, carrots, and the rice. We should be getting all our required veggies today! lol!

Mary - dinner sounds scrumptious!
Chicken will appear on the plate along with some rice and broccoli. I still have hidden Fat Boys - a yummy thick ice cream sandwich. Way in the back, out of sight! LOL

Good Evening All.....rather a wet and blustery day......the tail-end of Hurricane Bertha is paying us a visit.....which we don't really want....but have no choice......
Havent made it here for a couple of days..... trying to keep a low profile......with Lady Luck not on my side.....and not knowing if Mis Fortune was lurking around the corner yet again.... thought it best not to tempt providence.....BUT......I have finished my 2 Flanelette baby quilts.....well...the tops at least......when I know what the babies are.....then I can put on the correct borders and backing......
todays menu......Lamb Cutlets...Baby new Pototoes.....Runner Beans and Peas......Toffee Cheesecake for afters

Jana, recently when the kids were here, I had to hid things in the freezer but it was more of a joke...Nick always went shopping with me and knew what I bought and then he had to find it....Oh boy, I miss having those guys here.....
After having a really big breakfast, I can't even begin to think of dinner....But, it's Sunday and one of those "if you're hungry, get it yourself" days....Unless we get a better offer.................
