Supper club, Aug, 8th, Friday........
Good almost afternoon from sunny, getting warmer, SW. Pa....We're in for another great summer day here in the east....
So, where is everyone??? Hope Mary didn't get lost on her walk.....Or maybe she and Bill are out buying flooring......
Not much happening in this neck of the woods...Jim is doing some painting on the shed and I'm playing Betty Crocker....Just took 2 loaves of banana/nut bread out of the oven and now I have 2 zucchinis to shred and get it in the freezer...
I'm hoping to get outside and try to bring life back into some sagging plants...Right now, some of the flower beds are looking sad...I'm also in the mood to plant some new shrubs and have to convince Jim of the idea.....
As for our dinner, I browned some ground sirloin with onions and peppers and I'm not sure if it's going into chili or mixed with sauce and cavatelli and popped in the oven....Whatever, we won't go hungry.....
So what's going to appear on your dinner table?
Happy eating.................

Ha, ha! I played Betty Crocker and made rice krispy treats for us. I had a bag of marshmallows that were sticky, so I picked up a box of rice krispy cereal at the store when DH and I went to town.
Becca—I really envy you of the rain! We are overcast, and there are a few pop-up storms in the area. Let’s hope one of them pops up here and drops a deluge of rain. I like the “his ‘n hers” for dinner. That is how it is here much of the time. I love crusty bread. Judi has a great (easy, too) recipe for it.
Tonight I’ll be having a chef’s salad with loads of tomatoes. DH will have BBQ sandwich pulled pork and a small salad. We have watermelon and R-K treats for dessert.
Even with watering here, the leaves hang sad and forlorn on everything. We haven’t watered the cantaloupes or watermelons, and they seem to be doing OK. We have plenty of both to share.
Have a great evening!

Good late afternoon,
Dinner out the other night was yummy - been eating the leftovers, but they are now gone, guess I will have to cook. Easy peasy tonight - my one pot kielbasa, brocoli and tortellini.
We have some ice cream sandwiches in the feezer - hidden from my little gremlins.
Chickie - love rice krispie treats - made a batch with chocolate krispies the other day - yum!
Enjoy,
Jana
