SUPPER CLUB - Wed, June 11th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Jun 11, 2014 3:08 am

Happy Hump Day!

CAROL - Aren't Welsh Dragons SAUSAGES?? Your big mean guards are sausages?? Maybe we should just skip the machetes and bring forks!

BECCA - you really earned a nice meal at a restaurant after all those errands! Sounds like you ate "Linner", as my DD calls it - lunch/dinner.

IRISH - you really worked hard on those baby kitties! Like Bill sleeping in the pen we got for Scottie when he was a baby. My sis finally had to quit fostering kittens, too. Or rather, she was gone one day when the shelter called and asked if she'd take on a new batch and my BIL said no and never again! lol!

JO - if it's all rain today, just toss that laundry outside, let the rain wash it for you and you can sew!

I have no idea what supper will be tonite. We will be camping and after a travel day - even if it is only 4 hours - I usually just put something together out of the RV pantry. Maybe canned chicken and peas in some Rice-a-Roni in a one-pot meal. One of my camping standbys. And we have lots of salad stuff. and we have brownies. and wine. We're all set!

I'm off the internet now until next Monday. (takes me that long to pick up Irish and get over the pond to that beautiful, sausage-guarded pile of fabric - bwaaa-haaa-haa!!)

Eat well!

Good early afternoon from sunny, getting warmer, SW. Pa...

I know Mary is already gone but sending prayers for a safe trip....And of course I'll be waiting with fork in hand....This is going to be a great adventure. I've never been across the pond, hope Mary knows how to steer the boat......

Becca, I was thinking I should be outside doing the same thing but I still have too much I want to get done inside...With me leaving on Sat. and then Nicky and his Mom coming on Monday, I need to make sure beds are taken care of...And to top it off, the contractor called and said he'll be here sometime next week to put in a window...Told him I'd be gone but he's still coming.....

Carol, we do so love your posts...You certainly do have a way with words....AND when, exactly, did you say you would be away?????

And as far as our dinner, that really is up in the air...I have a hankering for chili but it's too warm...If nothing comes to mind, it might be burgers on the grill again...I did bake a big batch of cinnamon rolls last night so we're good for afters......

Happy eating.........

Good Evening All......well....well....well....NO rain....quite an event around here......sunny and the little birds are singing their little hearts out.....bliss......

Maryz probably wont see this till her next hook-up....but...yes...Welsh Dragons are sausages.....but they can be so fiery....so I"m thinking you and Irish will need to pack your tin hats too..as well as your forks......but still think that Choccy Lock and Key will hold out.......and after all that you will take one look at my little stash and think........blimey was it worth it.....lol

Irish...haha....could have so easily given the date away.....smuggling it in there like a hidden message.......

Becca......thank you......

Todays menu.....as I usually do our meals from scratch.....thought today....we fancied Burgers......so I plundered the Frozen Isle in the supermarket and came home with the Frozen ones.....they were spot on....and didn't feel a bit guilty......mind you I did do the Salad from scratch....and the afters.....Bananas and Custard......

Carol

PS....Maryz and Mr Maryz....have a safe trip......woops....and your little lad too
