CAROL - has it stopped raining yet? We don't want you to float away! But just in case you do, maybe you should tell one of us (me!! me!!) where the key to your stash is. *wink*.

Becca - I kind of liked the ring of that "pull a Becca", didn't you?

Irish - he's Chris doing today? How are YOU doing? It's so hard on mamas when our kids are any kind of sick. My DD, Lara, is having cataract surgery in 4 hours and doesn't need me there. Does't compare with what your Chriss went through, but when it comes to our babies, everything counts.

Jana - I was going to say something, but now I forgot . . drat! and I just know it was important, too!

It as so nice not to have to cook yesterday. but then, I've had a lot of nights off lately. I'm kind of getting used to it . . .

I never did make my pork chops in the crock pot the other day, so I think that's what will be happening today. They are thick boneless loin chops so I'm going to treat them like a pork roast instead. Brown them, then make a sauce of onions, garlic, cranberries, apple juice, and a few red pepper flakes for a bit of zip. DH will tell me later if he wants white rice or mashed potatoes. salad for sure. and an appetizer of fresh veggies with my homemade low-fat horseradish dip. And we have brownies for afters. I put mini marshmellows in them to try for a rocky road effect. But I think they ended up just too sweet for my taste.

Good afternoon from warm, bur slightly overcast..As long as it doesn't rain, I'm happy.....

Mary, hope all goes well with Lara...She's young to be having cataract surgery, isn't she? I just talked to Kathy and she said, Chris really had a good day yesterday..Had dialysis again and is also scheduled for tomorrow...With the blood, they are also removing fluid with the dialysis..She also said, he walked in the halls twice but it's so hard because he's hooked up to 2"tanks" (draining his lungs)..But, he's no longer on oxygen...She feels he'll probably be another week but just so he's better....

Oh Carol, rain! Of course we don't want you floating away but you, know, I'm closer than Mary so you'd better tell me where the key is, *wink, wink*

Well, our dinner will be pretty darn easy...I have chicken patties for sandwiches and a big salad...And it's a good thing Jim doesn't see what you're having for afters, Mary, because he's stuck with store bought cookies and ice cream...Oh well, life is tough sometimes....

Well, I went with my 2 friends to Maysville, KY today...their cigarette run and our Wal Mart and lunch buffet! It was yummy...but I was tired when we got back..

Earl grilled burgers and I put together a foil package of veggies and little potatoes...easy.
