SUPPER CLUB - Mon, May 19th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon May 19, 2014 3:21 am

Hey, y'all!

I never got here yesterday. Looks like no one else did either! But not to worry. I didn't go hungry! I used our leftover meatloaf, cut it up about the size of small meatballs and put it in spaghetti sauce. Let it simmer a while, cooked some penne pasta, and then layered it all together like lasagna and baked it. Very good, but also a very lot of it! You'll get tired of hearing that on our menu this week! lol!

CAROL - I've spent a lot of time on my CS quilt this week. I have 30 blocks finished (15 of each kind) and most of the 'units' made for the rest of the blocks, i.e, chevrons, 4-patches, "V's". But now for a whole lotta trimming of those units before I can go any further. Not my favorite part of quilting.

So - who's hungry??

Tonight is "Dinner with the Pringles" at Mama's Grill. We haven't been to the Monday night dinners for a long time...March 31!

Today will be a beautiful day! High of 73...love that!

Good morning from sunny but still chilly, SW. Pa. We had a frost over night but it's going to warm up nicely.....

Mary, your dinner sounds delish! You are forever coming up with a yummy creation made with leftovers...We'll have to start calling you our "Left over Queen"..But, I am going to remember this dish...

Joanne, so happy to see you again...I'll bet they missed you at Mama's..Hopefully, this warm weather will help with the RA....

We didn't starve either yesterday...After the dance competition, we took Cari and her girl friend to dinner at a place called Shamrock Restaurant in Maryland and it was purrrrfect...But, Mary, I'm not going to say what Jim and I ate..(but it was good)

For our dinner today, I found the frozen meatloaf I had mixed up last week and maybe I'll make some scalloped potatoes and add a veggie...You notice, I haven't been baking...Other than I don't need it, not sure why...Maybe today, I'll treat Jim to a goodie...

Happy eating..............

Good morning!

We didn't starve either! I did up a pot of Tortilla soup - comfort food for DH - he needed it!

Tonight - hummm.... not quite sure, but I have lots in the freezer - maybe another PNW speciality, we will see.

Beautiful day here in the Mountain west - slight wind, warm temps and thunder storms in the late afternoon - I love fireworks! Mother Nature's and the fourth of July kind too!

Enjoy,
Jana

Busy today.....washing....ironing.....getting all my nets ready to change over at the windows.....so hoping to do a bit in the sewing room tonight....
