Good Morning!
Well, they keep promising rain here but so far all we've had is clouds and mist. I'm not complaining, mind you, but if we had a good soaking rain, it would soften the dirt and make weeds easier to pull. and these days, I'm all about weeds.
Spaghetti was a nice change last night. I have some sauce left over but I think we'll do chicken fajitas tonite. Someone on the forum mentioned them and that sounded so good. I'm going to the grocery store so I can pick up the tortillas today. I might get a seasoning packet, but really, I find that lemon pepper used liberally works just as well and we add our own soy sauce.
What's everyone doing for Easter? My DS and DDIL will be here for brunch, along with my two little grand-dogs, Zoe and Skip. I've also invited my sister's son and SIL who live close to my son. They have a big dog, Bob, who will come along, too. So Scottie will be having almost as much company as we will! I even invited Mike to bring his cat as she is a sister to my cat and Easter will be their 15th birthday. But when she saw the guest list, I think she declined the invitation. lol!

Good morning!
Easter dinner is down at Matt's this year - Sarah won't be there as she is cooking for her in-law side of the family. I am doing the Aunt Sarah Salad - a hot potato cheesy dish and the green beans. Last time I made the beans - everyone fell in love with the new recipe -so that is my permanent assignment! LOL Fine with me! On Monday is FIL's 88th BD, so we are alll going over to his Assisted Living and using the game room for the celebration - chocolate cake and ice cream. FIL is a chocoholic!
Sarah came over last night and hung my family wall of pictures and even brought her dinner down to cook here - we had BBQ'd chicken and fresh corn on the cob - delish! So tonight is slightly boring - cube steak and a salad.
Enjoy

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Wed, April 16th
Good afternoon from a very sunny but very chilly, SW. Pa...Only getting into the high 40s today but warming the rest of the week...But, we have sun and that really makes a difference....
Mary, sounds like your going to have a "dog gone" good time on Easter....For more years than I care to count, I always had the whole family here for Easter but then as their families expanded and everyone wanted to do their own thing, I was able to get a smaller table, lol....But, DS#3, Kevin and DDIL, Cindy asked us up but I told them only if I could bring something...So, I'm taking the cheesy potatoes and an éclair pudding dessert...Cindy will have so much food but she usually asks fellows from the lacrosse team that can't go home....Cindy was an only child and not allowed in the kitchen but oh my has she come a long way....Works full time and has a big dinner on the table every night.....She is a wonder....
Now as far as our dinner, that's a very good question...Jim hasn't asked for hot dogs and beans lately so that might be a thought....Sure doesn't matter to me, I would be satisfied with a bowl of cereal and if nothing else, Jim would be also.....Just have to wait and see what appears..............
Happy eating...............
