SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, March 25th

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Mar 24, 2014 3:26 pm

hey, girls! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Becca and I are lucky to have such a crew as you all! and loved your ideas for appetizers. Since I had other things to do, DH took on the appetizer chore with tortilla chips and queso. I've done the cream cheese thing with hot pepper jelly but yours all sound great too, and I'm always looking for something new to try. In fact - I need an appetizer Saturday night!

Tonite's suppert was leftover pasta from the restaurant from last Saturday night and DH had grilled cheese. Scottie had kibble. And for tonight, we're going to feast on frozen leftover homemade lentil soup and toast. And I do use the word 'feast' loosely! lol!!

What's up with your supper plans?

Good eating,

We ate tacos last night and since it is my activity day girls, we will go out and get Popeyes chicken. We will eat it out, watching trains. It has gotten warm and longer days. So nice.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good early afternoon from sunny but still cold, Sw. Pa...Jim just told me we're to have a blizzard tonight...I'm hoping he was kidding.....

Mary, so happy to hear from you and know you're safe...I think I'll be extra glad when you pull in your drive way...I do worry about you gals...

Jim was rooting in the freezer for chicken patties for his lunch and pulled out some round steaks...SO, guess what he's getting for dinner....Good ole meat, mashed spuds, gravy and a veggie (of my choosing)....I was going to bake a pie but he also found a loaf of banana/nut bread and has that thawing....He did have the patty for lunch with lettuce and ranch dressing....Me I'm having a cup of tea and crackers, my favorite lunch.....

Happy eating..............

I think I'll make some "rerun" roast into fajitas and add a green salad for this evening's repast. I also sliced up some strawberries and have a couple of biscuits for shortcake.

MaryZ--I like lentils in soup or "plain" lentil soup.

Tonight was a replay of Sunday night...hot dogs and a big salad..Earl's choice.

Last night was Dinner with the Pringles at Cracker Barrel...it was yummy!

Chickie..when I was growing up, we always had Bisquick biscuits with our strawberry shortcake...yummy!

Irish, how do you prepare your round steaks????

Have to think about tomorrow's dinner now!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Think I missed birthdays this past weekend. Becca, my DH shares your birthday. Hope both Becca and Maryz had really wonderful birthdays!

Tonight we will have baked chicken, baked potatoes and peas and a salad. Chicken and potatoes are in the oven, house should smell very good in a while.

Carol
