SUPPER CLUB - Fri, March 21
So did you all enjoy your first day of spring? Wish I could see my flowers - I bet the daffs are blooming! Only 6 days to go now. Sorry to read some of you are still talking s-n-o-w.
IRISH - yes, we do put the miles on our fifth-wheel. Poor old girl will be 13 years old in October. We take excellent care of her but she's still showing her age. We have 115,000 miles on her - that's almost 1/8 million. She's the oldest rig at our rally of about 65 participants. We prefer to think "Classic" rather than "old" or "dated".
BECCA - Happy reunion with all the family!! I'm sorry but I've forgotten just which day is your exact birthday. I know we're birthday buds (mine is Sunday, 23rd) but your exact special day escapes me. My oldest brother was 79 yesterday. He said next year, he's going to tell folks he's 4. As in four score.
JOANNE - your ham crockpot supper sounds delish. Do you have any sauce in it or is it seasoning itself?
Today is supper at my younger sister's. She hates cooking but says people don't complain too much about this dish - pulled pork in the crockpot. I think we're having sandwiches from it.
This will be a fun weekend - my sisters live 3 miles apart and don't get along. I'm the middle sister and always trying to keep the peace. A fun way to spend my birthday! lol!
So what's cookin' in your kitchen tonite?

Good morning from SNOWY SW. Pa....Yep, it's snowing and everything is covered....Can you believe it????
Mary, our 1st day of spring was kind of nice but now we're back to winter...The closest I'm coming to seeing flowers is looking at the packets of seeds I have laying on the counter....Enjoy your visit with the sisters.....
Becca, I am so jealous, you have sun AND flowers, we have cold and snow.........Boy, I agree about sisters....I just have 1 and we did have a few years when we weren't the best of friends but that's all in the past.....I might not talk to her every day but I know, if I needed her, she'd be here....We have no brothers so it's just us.....Enjoy your special birthday dinner, with DGS being home, that makes it extra special.....
Joanne, are you the one that's pushing the snow east???I think Jim has visions of shoveling, again....
Well, since winter has returned, it might be a hot soup day...Of course it might be that banned New England "mac n cheese" stuff...Or I might make that "mac n cheese"/noodle casserole.......Right now, I'm having a hard time deciding on lunch, can't decide on dinner.....
Last night's chicken and biscuits was a huge hit...Jim said, one of his favorites......
Happy eating....................

Irish, for once I had nothing to do with your snow! lol! Something went past us yesterday up North...we were dry. And maybe you will get our weather from today which is BEAUTIFUL!! Almost 70 deg and sunny...
Mary..I save the juice/drippings from the Christmas ham and freeze it..along with the leftover ham..in a separate container. Then when I make stuff with the ham, I use some of the drippings/juice. It was good and Earl's cornbread was wonderful..
Tonight I don't know..I'm going to get my hair cut..and nails done at 3pm, so maybe we will go to Mama's...or leftovers!
