Homemade Dishwasher Soap
I have been making laundry detergent for some time and since Dishwasher detergent has increased I thought I would try making it too.
I have used it this week and love it. Here is the recipe if you want to try it.
1 cup 20 mule team borax
1 cup washing soda--not baking soda
1/2 cup Lemi Shine- this removes hard water spots and film. You can
fine this at Kroger or Walmart. You won't need jet dry anymore.
I have been using LEMI Shine to remove hard water-lime deposit on
my water glasses for some time.
1/2 cup Krosher Salt--don't use plain table salt. The Krosher is
larger grains and helps remove food particles.
Measure all ingredients into an air tight container and shake well.
I use 2 Tablespoons in each load of dishes for a normal wash..
I don't double the recipe. The salt and Lemi Shine will clump so one recipe is all we need to make at one time. After opening the Lemi Shine, store it away from moisture.
I have tried making hand dishwashing liquid and don't like the 2 recipes I tried. Do you have a recipe you like and would like to share???

Thanks Izzy. I would love a good recipe for hand dish detergent. All I have tried are thin like water and don't clean well.
