SUPPER CLUB - Thurs, Jan 2nd, 2014

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Jan 02, 2014 3:22 am

Happy today!

IRISH - sorry you lost one of your furbabies. That can be so hard.

CAROL - how's the man and his 'flu coming along? His appetite doesn't seem affected! lol!

JANA - I know Ethan's birthday is about now, and I know he's already had one before. But I just can't believe he's two!!

I did a little more packing in the trailer, but we still have a week to go and if I pack any more, we'll have to move out there now! So I'm getting a little time in my sewing room. I finally settled on my travel projects and pulled my fabrics. Now I'm getting a head start on cutting the pieces because I don't take my cutting table on the road - but sure wish I could!

Tonite we're meeting 2 couples for supper at a restaurant and then going to the home of one of them for dessert. Poor Mr. Scott will have to stay home alone in his play pen. I hate leaving him as it will be about 4 hours. But I think it's harder on me than it is on him.

But my take-away from here today is I DON'T HAVE TO COO-OK. (try to read that in a sing-songy voice, OK?)

I hope if anyone is in the path of the next big storm, that you're all stocked up on emergency supplies - like chocolate and merlot.

Good late morning from a very dreary, cold, Sw. Pa....I think we're in for that nasty white stuff later today....I should do as Mary says, and get out and stock up, BUT, it's cold out there, lol....
Did want to mention, we had the best wine the other night, Verde Spumante, raspberry flavor..I'm not much of a wine person but this was darn good and will be remembered the next time I shop.....

Today is back to pre Christmas...Everything is packed up and back in the shed..I guess that's why is so dreary around here....Not sure what to put out now.....

As far as dinner, I have a tiny piece of ham, 1 sliver of pork chop, hand full of sauerkraut and half a bowl of veggie soup....Not much and not sure just what else I'll find, but we're cleaning out the frig....Hopefully tomorrow will be new stuff.....

Happy eating.............

Good morning!

Humm... dinner - who knows - I have a sickie in the house - DS3, was graciously shared the bug by some of the other family members - so something bland - soup I am thinking. He is on the mend - so that is good.

Still quite cold here - but we are warming up to 40 today - but when that happens, a new storm is approaching - snow this week-end. Good for the skiing - we need the famous Utah Powder! LOL

De-decorating will happen in stages - one room at a time - I am re-organizing how things are packed and relabeling too. Hopefully that will make it easier to find things next year. I also need to find the seasonal decorations for Valentines and St Patrick's - they are in a box somewhere here! LOL I already know where the Easter 4 totes are!

Enjoy
Jana

IRISH It does look drab after taking all the decorations down.So sorry about your furbaby.I know how that is.

JANA Hope your DS is well soon.Lots of things floating around our area.

CAROL Your sir must eat regardless. It is only soup here when sick that is all we want or chicken broth is more my speed.Hope he gets well soon. And your lakes dry up.There was 35 extra ins of rain here last year.

Well it was Subway for DH today. He got to use his gift card.I have a chicken pie out defrosting for tomorrow.

Happy eating to all.....Becca

Good Evening All.....wow.....its been a nice day here today.......however......we have been told yet another storm is on its way.....and for those you who know the outlay of England it appears the West Country is about to be the hardest hit.....that is...Cornwell and also the west side of Wales.....the only good thing about all this rain is.....its NOT snow.......

Maryz....its strange.....no matter how grotty Sir feels.....he is still ready to eat.....even if its only a small meal.....and no matter how hard I try.....I don't do small.....anyway today....he was quite happy to have soup and a couple of rolls

Went into Town today for more Tea lights.....cant get them.....only the cheapies.....and they make such a mess with the wax spluttering....so it looks like I will have to go online......

So, with Sir and his soup.....I had a Ham Salad.....so NO cooking for me today......

Good Afternoon from sunny, wishing for rain, Southern California!

Tonight will be a salad, rice pilaf, peas, and parmesan chicken. We are skipping dessert because we ate too many in the past week. Going to the gym which I did do, doesn't do much good if I continue to overindulge.

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon so it needs to be easy today, in the next hour and a half before leaving I can get the salad and the chicken ready. The rice is a leftover from Monday.

Haven't been feeling too good lately...my RA is really bothering me alot. So I haven't been on here at all! I really hate to miss you all!

Tonight we had pizza delivery. We had the leftovers from Bingo New Year's Eve...sloppy joes, coleslaw...yummm. DDIL made them both! It was a fairly small group this year..Only 8 adults and 3 kids, but we had fun...and barely made it to midnight!

Look out Irish...snow is here now and headed your way!!!!!
