Re: Time for self to get things done=News Years resolution
Well, after I posted this thought, I was making time to do a simple needlepoint tissue cover from a Leisure Arts pattern booklet I have had since 1991. I needed it for yesterday Thursday December 19 and with changing of things and not doing things I would have made it. Something was nagging me to check the tissue box I had bought for the cover, Low and behold after all the time in completing this project for me,eveything was made correctly and sized just right but the manufacturers of the tissue box have changed the box size since 1991. UGH
Lesson learned check before you go forward.
I will definitely make more time to do things for me that make me happy. I was thinking that when I spend time with my Mom crocheting those 2 hours spent with her doing my crocheting really give me a high and I know I can get that feeling too with my sewing as well.
Thanks for all your thoughts, support and patience. You are all such good friends.
Hugs and love to all,
Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.

Tina, your comment about the Cubs made me laugh. DH has been waiting for them to win forever.
I try and sew a little bit everyday. Even if it's only 15 minutes. Sewing or stitchery is my passion, so it's a priority with me. I work full time and sometimes that can it can be a challege. I believe we should always make a little time for ourselves. I hope you find a few minutes in the day to sew and stitch.

My new year's resolution is something I read elsewhere. I want my output to be greater than my input when it comes to fabric and embroidery design purchases!

Tina, I so agree with your idea. I have spent so much time in the last few years taking care of everyone - sister with cancer, husband with serious leg issues, a wonderful daughter with a fantastic 2 year old (they live with us). Since I am retired, I have laughed with a few friends that I need to go back to work so I can get things done. Time does fly when you thing you have tons of it to waste. I have plenty of machines, fabric, yarn, and patterns. Time for me to get busy and get things done!!
