SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Nov 26

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Nov 26, 2013 4:15 am

Hope everyone is staying warm and safe! That's a monster storm you all are in the middle of! And so many folks on the road for the holiday. I never travel without my St. Christopher medal, even though the Church demoted him to what my sister calls "Mr. Christopher". If I'm superstitious about anything, it's about traveling without my medal.

JUDI - how nice to have unexpected company for supper! glad you stopped by! Is it your niece who is on the liquid diet for TG? Major bummer!

BECCA - your caramel cake sounds yummy. Is it from scratch or do you start with a mix?

JANA - hope the big move happens soon.

IRISH - a doctor appt almost sounds fun the way you and your crew go about it!!

JOANNE - so while you are out at the Pringle Mingle, your kids are coming to your house to eat your leftovers? Is that good or bad?

Today is slated to finish cleaning, rearrange the furniture, and decorate. I think today is shopping day, both Costco and the regular grocery store. I'm dreading it, but it's got to be done. So I'm not sure what supper will be. Maybe just a frozen pizza or other entree, and a salad. I'll know when I see it!

I hope no one has to venture out if you have bad weather!

Hi, I will keep it short here since I wrote a book over in the daily thread.

It feels colder here than it felt in Colorado when I left yesterday. I think I will fix a roast or chili. Have to sew like crazy to get Secret Santa stuff done. So later,
Lyn

Good morning from cold, snowy, icy, sleety, non sunny, SW. Pa...You name it, we got it with more to come! This is not a good thing.......
I do feel bad for all those traveling and I'm very worried about our girls coming in from the east...As much as we want to see them, I'm hoping they decide to stay home.....
Jim even has an early appointment with the dermatologist and although he really needs to see him, I'm thinking of cancelling that appointment......SNOW!

Mary, you are really tiring me out with all that cleaning you're doing....I just kind of look around, think about it and then move onto something more fun......
And you're right about my sister's doctor's appointments being fun....We were gone all day yesterday and giggled like silly school gals....We had a big laugh over seeing an older lady in a pair of very high heeled platform shoes and I told my sister I'd find out where she got them and get her a pair for Christmas...She said, she wanted red to match the blood she'd spill when wearing them.....And we had lunch at a Texas steak house...So much fun and we get to do it again on Jan. 8th....Doc doesn't know what's going on with her wrist and gave her a shot.....When it doubt, give it a shot!

So that was my day and today is my snow day...Right now, I'm listening to a CD of the girls college band and tapping the feet...Probably the most exercise I'll get today....
As far as dinner, I'm thinking maybe ham and scalloped potatoes and I might even bake a gingerbread....

Happy eating...............stay warm and safe......

Yep, Mary...I was happy when we got home last night ...NO LEFTOVERS!! lol! Other than three baggies of ham in the freezer and some cole slaw and cranberry sauce, they wiped it out. But all the containers were washed..yippee!

Snow today...but roads are good so far, but I'm thinking that they will freeze overnight.

On Thursday we will go to Earl's son's for a big dinner...that I don't have to bring anything. That's a good thing.

Tonight we went to Mama's Grill and took Spiro his bowls. Tomorrow I will cook.

Joanne
