SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Nov 17

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Nov 17, 2013 2:47 am

Hi, all!

Our evening with Mike & Em was nice. She is always so aprpeciative of every little gesture done for her. They have two little dogs and Scottie enjoyed his company, too!

The doll clothes sound so cute! and I do know what a labor of love they are. Such good grammas you are!

IRISH - so nice about the kitty expenses! My sister fostered kittens for her local humane society. After keeping at least one kitten from every litter, the H.S. called one day when she wasn't home and asked my BIL (Imitation Al - remember him?) if she was ready for another litter. He quit her volunteer position for her right then and there! lol!!

JO - long time no sup! Glad you stopped by!

Today we're taking Scottie to have his picture taken with Santa up at Petco. Yes, we've turned into that kind of family. Sad, isn't it. lol!!

Supper tonite will be a host of leftovers - two different pastas, carrots, sliced tomatoes, and cake. No one's starving here! and we sent home most of the food with M&E!

What's going on your Sunday table?

Scottie with Santa! lol!!

Leftovers here too, Mary! Several, just like you. Ham and green beans, cooked cabbage and ground beef from Earls daughter for me, ham w/ apricot glaze from mama's and chicken and dressing from mama's! lol!! And I have a peppercorn pork loin defrosted and might cook that too.

Tornado weather today..later on. Off to watch the Bengals play the Cleveland Browns! My youngest son stopped in and decided to paint our bedroom...we've had the paint for about 6 yrs. just waiting for this moment.

Hello everyone.Cloudy day here & drizzle at 58 after the cold. Now this week another cold blast coming.

On the doll cloths I remembered when my DD was growing up I knitted a shoe box stuffed with clothes for Barbie. We also used to have a retail shop & I made cloth dolls & knitted ones(some were 30 ins) to sell.Would not do that again.

Glad your Bday went well MARYz.It is more fun to do something when the are appreciative.

We will have leftovers also.Have to head out to Dr early tomorrow as it is yearly check up time.No fun.And there are tons of errands ..Becca

Good Evening All......still cold and "they" tell us its going to get colder......wish I hadn't heard that!!!!!!

JOANNE.....I pinned 2 quilts last week.....and dipstick that I am....did my back in.....now many years ago....my Chiropractor told me to sit on the stairs with a bag of frozen peas on my back for 15 mins....then 15 mins with heated wheatbag or hot water bottle....it works....and saves the Chiropractor bills....though I don't think that was in her mind when she passed on that useful bit of info....that bag of peas....I hasten to add are kept solely for medical reparation.....

Todays menu.....Roast Pork.....Roast potatoes....carrots....parsnips....and Peas....Apple Pie and Custard for afters.......

Maryz....hope your little lad enjoys his first trip to Santa.......

Good afternoon from warm but dreary and wet, SW. Pa....We're to get that nasty weather that Joanne has predicted, yikes!

Mary, I'd love to be a fly and be along on the picture venture...I think that's so neat...I've never taken any of the furbabies but I do have more photos of the furbabies than I ever took of my kids, lol.....My "Baby Girl" is so photogenic, who can resist...She's purrrfect, just ask me......And you should see our new "Buddy Boy", he's so darn cute.......Jim is pretty much like your BIL...He more of less told me, I needed to stop volunteering with the cat rescue org...That's why I'm not sure if I dare get into it again.....We'll see!

Joanne, so glad to see you, been worried about you....I haven't heard lately but did hear your Bengals were beating up the Browns...Our Steelers started off great but seem to have forgotten what to do with the ball....

Carol, glad to hear the back is better, the peas are back where they should be and next time, you will take it easy while pinning....When Kathy was little, I made the Barbie clothes (hated it) and then when the grands got their American Girl, I made dozens of outfits and those I loved doing...I even sold them at a shop not too far from me...But, now, no more dolls...........

After a huge breakfast this morning, thought maybe we wouldn't need to eat again today but Jim had other ideas....He popped a bag of pop corn as soon as the game came on and I just made up a bowl of egg salad for sandwiches and we'll have soup if he wants......Store bought cookies are also on the menu for afters......Tomorrow I'll really have to bake something......

Happy eating...............
