SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Oct 14th
Happy New Week!
JO - that bean recipe sounds almost like my bean salad, except I don't put in red pepper or corn, though they do sound like good additions. I use five different kinds of beans - kidney, green, wax, garbanzo, white. I put in the celery and onion and the dressing sounds the same, too. and I love it!
BECCA - I have a roast and will be doing a roast beast dinner soon. I was going to make pizza tonite, but in the course of conversation yesterday learned our guest, Carol, doesn't like pizza for supper. But then she says a lot of odd things with the Alzheimers, so I'm not sure if it was true.
CAROL - I saw your quilts! Both are terrific, but I thought the cupcake was especially tempting!
IRISH - all good ideas! I've made a list of menus to work with but I've learned our friends don't eat Italian, Mexican, anything spicy AT ALL, or pizza. That hacked off half my list! However, as the days go on, I may revive that half! lol! But do tell about Kathy's friend. Is he a friend, or is he a FRIEND?
Tonite will probably be chicken in wine/mushroom sauce over fettuccini. And a salad and rolls. We have 2 servings of plum crisp and 2 servings of a lime/gelatin/coolwhip pie for afters.
Hope all is delish at your table tonite?

Mary, you are a saint, I think...this will be a LONG 2 weeks. What ratio of vinegar to sugar do you use for your bean marinate??
Tonight is Dinner with the Pringles and it will be at Smokey Bones...mostly a ribs and steak place. Pretty good.
Time for lunch!

Good morning!
If I missed as many meals as I do here - I should be quite skinny by now! LOL We do eat around here - that is the problem! LOL
Dinner tonight will also be chicken - in either a marinara sauce or alfredo - hummm .... red or white? I am in the mood for noodles - homemade, fresh pasta - so that will be whatever sauce the chicken is in as the carrier. No afters - salad will be here too.
Enjoy
