SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Oct 4th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Oct 04, 2013 5:01 am

Good Morning!

BECCA - hope you find a great new dentist!

IRISH - my fire was in 1985 - almost 30 years ago. So you didn't really miss anything.

I'm laughing as I type this. I'm watching DH walking though the house, dragging one leg with a fierce growling puppy hanging onto his pantleg. Little Scottie makes us laugh every day!

Our supper tonite is going to be homemade pizza. and probably a salad. I use turkey pepperoni and it's not so greasy. We've got to where we can hardly eat regular pepperoni anymore.

Hope you find something tasty, yet quick and easy, to fill your supper dish tonite!

Good morning from warm, sunny, purrrfect, SW. Pa...(.Well, it might be sunny but it's still gloomy...Our Pirates really got beat last night, but there's always today)....

Mary, now I have this vision of Bill with a puppy attached to his leg.....Isn't it wonderful how a little furball can bring so much happiness.....

Well, since I have another wedding rehearsal tonight, our dinner will be easy...The stew we had last night was very good and will be just as good if not better tonight....Just enough left for another meal, I'm finally getting the hang of cooking smaller meals....It only took 55+ years......

Happy eating.............

Good Evening All......grey day.....but very humid......

Sorry about having a "no show week"......but its been a very busy few days.....and to top it off...I cannot find my "thought for the week" book....2nd time in just a few weeks.....keep telling myself to tidy up the sewing room....but I never listen to myself.....funny though....could have sworn I"d not long tidied up.....
WOW.....sounds like I cooked up a storm with my L...r casserole....but I have to say.....when we were kids it was recommended children had L...r at least once a week....this was during WW2....yes...I'm that old ( but only answer to 29)and I can honestly say....we never refused anything on our plates....and then joy oh joy.....we were allocated cod l...r oil and malt.....wheeeeyyy toffee on a spoon....because so many of us had poor circulation.....and sweet rations didn't finish until the early 1950s
so we were ahead of the adults....

So back to today....Beef and Dumpling Casserole and Rice Pudding for afters.......I will try and get back later because I want to find out a bit more on Silver Water.......
MARYz....if you go to my FB page....I have just been introduced to a "slow cooker"page....and there are some jolly good ideas and receipes......Becca....haven't forgotten.......take care all Carol

Good afternoon!

We have been eating around here - last night was corned beef with melted swiss on Russian Rye sandwiches with a hot bowl of tomato soup - floating with goldf..h crackers!

I have no idea for tonight - it is cold here - so another soup my hit the bowls - or chili with all the fixins - rice - cheese - onions - sour cream - fritos - extra chopped tomatoes and maybe a sprinkling of corn - we will see.

Mary - I can just imagine little Scottie hanging on! I had a dog that did the same thing to the postman as he would deliver the mail on the block - never bit the postman - just hung on the pants.

Becca - I have found that DDS's make their money on a thing they call root planing - a very deep cleaning - seems that no matter what - they want to do that.

Well, Enjoy you meals!
Jana
