SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Sept 25th

Good RAINY morning! Other than brief breaks, it's been raining here since Sunday - the first day of fall. It may be next July before we have good weather again!

CAROL!! I never thought it was necessary to put a liver ban in writing here, but apparently I was wrong about that! Gaaaackk!!! Consider it banned! It's truly worse than fish. (and I think we all know how I feel about seafood!) My greatest fear when I was 7 was that I would grow up to marry someone who liked liver and that they'd make me touch it and cook it and even eat it! It just doesn't come into my house. and it never will. Oh - and just for the record, I've had three husbands and not a one of them liked liver!

JUDI - I love chicken c------tori! But as you can see, we can never have it because I can't spell it either! lol!

IRISH - I meant to ask you yesterday, do you put anything on your gingerbread? I really like lemon sauce on mine. (yes, that's a hint...)

Yesterday we went out to an impromptu lunch with my DB and SIL. So instead of splitting a burger like we usually do, we each ordered a full deal (he had a reuben sandwich and I had chicken strips) and we ate half and half for dinner. So tonite, the potato cakes and eggs are up.

Up here early - grass arrived - surprise to me! LOL I thought that it would be next week - DH never mentioned it! LOL

Dinner last night turned out to be nachos - I have taco meat left over - so we might eat tacos tonight - chicken might also be in the mix - it all depends on DH and the grass getting laid in the backyard. Never a dull moment around here!

I love eating out and having the other half of my meal for dinner or lunch the next day.

Ethan has disappeared and it is too quiet - he must be getting into something!

Tonight will be chicken parmesan, potatoes, broccoli and a salad. Maybe some garlic bread. I had leftover chicken in freezer already cooked so all I have to do is some warm-ups and make the salad! Sounds good on a sewing day!

Well hello everyone.Rainy here also.Been a hectic morning here. Internet not working.DH trying to get label printed & would not work.I was trying to get beds changed,do laundry & clean bathrooms.As you all know we have to get involved.LOL For support I guess.Any way package is sitting waiting for trip to PO tomorrow.But they managed to charge us even though you cannot get the label.What a MESS !!!!

MARYz about liver.You have one here that used to eat it.My DH & all our children loved it too.We stopped many years ago.

JANA When you get yard complete & house finished you will not now what to do with your time.LOL

Good afternoon from warm, sunny, almost summerlike, SW. Pa....Mother Nature is at again, messing with my head! But whatever, this is purrrrfect.....

Mary, I normally don't have a chance to put anything on the gingerbread...In fact, Jim was standing by the oven, holding a plate, as soon as it came out....He cut into that baby before it cooled off....The only thing extra, I add lots and lots of raisins...AND as far as the L word, Jim actually does like it...On rare and I mean rare occasions, I will make it and hope that the furbabies will help eat it...(Most of the time, they turn up their noses).....

Becca, You gotta be quick if you want any goodies around here...Sorry to say, gingerbread is long gone....I was thinking of you this afternoon...On my way home from lunch, I passed a Subway and just that quick, I turned around and got Jim a meatball marinara (sp)...We've been wanting to stop and today was perfect....

Well, my lunch today was "Afternoon in Paris"....Everything was French, starting with French onion soup, chicken cordon bleu, special potatoes, s-----and l------thermodor (sp) and then French style cut green breans...Dessert was an eclair, which was yummmmmy.....So you can see why I stopped and got Jim something....There will be no cooking in this house today and maybe tomorrow.....My tummy is full!

Well, we ended up at Mama's last night for dinner, so we are grilling tonight..last night's menu!

L---r is something that I will eat about once a year..but I'm really picky about how it is cooked..and it has to have onions and gravy all over it (I think it hides the taste..lol!) But I only get it when we eat out..I've never cooked it..and Earl likes chicken livers...UGH.

Oh, Becca, we are getting a new Subway right in the middle of the Village!! Earl doesn't like them...way too much bread for him. And it's been years since I had one, but I will probably try to eat there to help support the new business.

Well, I think dinner is almost ready...later gators!

When I was a kid my Mom was told she was anemic She had 8 kids so I guess she should be something,,,,anyway....Dr told her to eat liver once a week.....yep once a week(feel sorry for me here Mary) We had to eat it,,,,cooked with bacon and onions and boiled potatoes. I have never cooked it,,,and have had a bite at a friends house just to see if it changed for the better,,,,,nope it hadn't/so no liver here either, we had nachos for supper here all the leftovers over corn chips..covered with cheese....lol it was good....still have some chick "catch your tori" left we can have that for lunch tomorrow
