SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, Sept 24th
I put the recipe for the chicken and dumpling casserole in the recipe section. It's not in the recipe, but I also added frozen mixed veggies and that worked well.
CAROL - there you are! Bread and butter pudding sounds yummy - and all too fattening!
JUDI - soup, fire, hexies, well-trained DH. You've really got it made!
JANA - I was so tired after reading what all you're doing I had to lie down!
JOANNE - just because Earl can't go to dinner, doesn't mean YOU have to skip it, too . . .
We have some leftover mashed potatoes from last night, so I think tonight's supper will be potato pancakes and eggs. Mine will be scrambled. DH likes his over easy. Easy Peasy.
What's headlining your supper marquis for tonite?

Afternoon from sunny but chilly, SW. Pa....
Mary, I see you had mashed potatoes last night and tonight's dinner sounds equally delish.....I always have to save enough of the mashed spuds to make potato cakes.....
Jim is busy outside and will probably have a late lunch so dinner will be something quick....I might just open a can of soup along with meat loaf sandwiches.....I made a gingerbread yesterday and there's probably enough left for afters......
Happy eating............

Hello All.Nice sunny day here.Got walk in & was surprised to find tomatos & beans in garden.Thought it was finished.
Paid visits to two elderly neighbors checking on them.
Plan to do meat loaf.baked potato,Green beans from garden.Had planned on steamed broccoli but changed to beans.Have blueberry muffins left.
Always have leftovers so that is good.....Becca
JANA Is that machine up & going yet?

What a glorious day! high of 75 deg. sunny....just perfect!
Tonight Earl will fire up the grill and do steak kabobs..and will make a large pouch with small potatoes and broccoli, cawliflower and green beans. I have a Christmas Walk meeting in the Village after dinner.
Earl is mowing the lawn this afternoon..it MAY rain tomorrow morning,,but that is "iffy". But he doesn't want to miss a chance to mow! lol!
Maryz, you all remind me of when I was growing up at home and we would have "breakfast for dinner" about once every couple of weeks. I don't do that, but Earl and I will sometimes order breakfast for dinner in a restaurant.

Good afternoon!
Today is my day with the little girls at Church - so we will probably make a run down to get chicken and watch trains - it is getting cold here too - so that will be out in no time.
No my machine is not yet up - Friday is the day - but DH wants me to see if I can change the day to next week - Monday or Tuesday - too much going on Friday with FIL arriving and settling him in at the Assisted Care place. So I will be good and make the phone call and re-schedule - uggh!
Enjoy
