SUPPER CLUB - Hump Day - Sept 18th
Good Morning!
CAROL - good to hear from you yesterday!
JANA - cake for dinner! I like it!
JUDI - glad you're able to be back in the kitchen!
IRISH - sounds like Jim isn't a veggie fan! My Bill likes everything except broccoli and lima beans. Limas are my FAVE!
BECCA - did you get supper yesterday?
We had purchased take and bake pizzas and my DSonIL did the baking! We ate on paper plates. all we dirtied were 6 forks and the pizza cutter. They all came to meet Scottie - and gushed and coo'd all evening long. It was sickening. hahah! NOT!!
Tonite we are having two couples for dinner. We had a free couple of weeks in Sept so we loaded them up with dates for dinner with all our friends. I didn't know then that I'd be in the Disabled List! But it's so hard to find dates that fit everyone's schedules so we kept them on the calendar. and I think I'm a little better today after yesterday's massage. So onward and upward!
Spghetti and meatballs are on the menu. Frozen meatballs and jar sauce. I can jazz it up easily to taste more homemade. We'll toss a salad and our guests are bringing dessert and garlic bread. So we should be good to go with little work on my part. I like that in a dinner party! lol!
Hope your supper is coming together as smoothly!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Hump Day - Sept 18th
Good afternoon from a purrrfect Fall Day in Sw. Pa....Nice and sunny, could be a little warmer for my taste, but it isn't raining....
Mary, happy to hear you're improving...I'd love to have been a fly on the wall to hear all the oohs coming from the family last night....I can imagine, Scottie had a huge smile on his face...And he'll get more lovin' tonight with your company....Enjoy your dinner.....
Becca, good that you had a "me" day....That doesn't happen often enough....Mine are usually 1/2 days when Jim goes to help with the elderly bingo....Hope DH feels better soon.....
Well, our dinner is going to be Chili, home made bread and apple square for afters.....Quick and easy......
Happy eating...........

Good morning!
Mary - hope that your leg continues to get better - no fun being gimpy!
Becca - there are many things that I can do without - but somehow, they just jump into my basket anyway! LOL
I did a good dinner last night - no leftovers! So now I have to come with something today - I haven't done "mac n cheese" in marinara over polenta in a while or it will be minestone soup - it is very cool here today - we got down into the forties last night and there is a slight breeze, so it is getting nippy. I might even find my way up to the kitchen and make some whole wheat bread - we will see -
Enjoy

Mary, good choice on the menu for tonight..speghetti is one of the easiest, at least I think so! Hope that knee heals up!
Tonight is smoked sausage, yukon gold potatoes and vegetables in the oven and some corn on the cob. I've been feeling kind of puney the past few days so I'll do easy tonight.
The Reds beat the Astros last night and they play them tonight. AND Survivor starts tonight!!!!!!! So we will probably not watch the game.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Hump Day - Sept 18th
Good Evening All......weather is calmer now....but the week end was rather very wet and very windy....strange as it may seem....although our bungalow is in the middle of our road of houses....we are the last in line of electric cables....so a windy day can give us power cuts....ok....so they may not last too long....but they can cause a bit of chaos when they do.....we had 5 blips on Friday and 2 more on sunday.....madam was not amused....
Baking is now almost complete.......just got the muffins (36) to do...and that's me finished....except.....3 freezers and no room left....anybody got any ideas......
Tried to read back post.....but eyes started to cross....so heres what I have gleaned so far.....Maryz and mr bill have now got their little ray of sunshine.....have fun.....hope the sewing leg is repairing alright.....Irish has made some Banana bars....will have to check them out......Becca has had some "me" time....glad to hear it...hoping to get some of that myself pretty soon.....Jana is getting her new toy....lucky lady.....hope we can bank on daily updates.....and I do believe Joanne is having "pringle days"
today our menu was.....Welsh Dragons....Onions.....Creamed Potatoes....and Runner Beans.....Fruit and Cream for afters.....I am so pleased to report I can do the creamed pots again....the old pots are so much better now......
