SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 17th

Post by purrfect-lady » Tue Sep 17, 2013 2:52 am

Good Morning!

It's an early one around here. I usually get up about 5:15 but this morning it was 4:30. Scottie went out at 4:30 and DH stayed up with him in the living room but put him in his playpen, which makes him whine. The sound carries directly through the floor into our bedroom beneath. and so ended my night. But, he went all night until 4:30 without having to go out! We're making progress. . . and he can get up steps now! With great effort and a nap on the fourth step. Pretty good for such a small baby!

My DD and family are coming to meet our new baby tonite. I'd planned to make some homemade pizzas and feed them, but my back/leg just aren't up to that so we're going to pick up a couple of Take'n'Bakes - cheese, and pepperoni, I think.

Is anything in your pantry tempting you tonite?

Starting to cook again,,,I have 4 chicken drum sticks some veggies and not a clue what to do with them. Maybe chicken and veggie stew. with taters cause Ken is off wheat so no dumplings. I did make Kale chips for him and they are good....so light and crispy. Ken liked them.

Dinner last night got postponed until today - pork steaks, broccoli, tomatoes and maybe a baked potato. We will see on that - dinner last night consisted of a piece of cake with some ice cream - and looking at the new house that Matt is having built. It is coming along nicely - ready for the roof sheathing and shingles. All the rest of the framing is done.

Enjoy!

We are parked south of Kansas City. Here to visit DH's family. Dinner will probably to out, somewhere, with DSIL & DBIL. We are going to the assisted living home to visit MIL this afternoon. Sad thing is, she probably won't remember come tomorrow. But, we are doing the right thing in visiting.

I have put some photos up over in "Photos", of the Estes Park flood.

Maryz - have fun with Scottie and prayers your back and leg feel better soon.

Afternoon from sunny, slightly cool, SW. Pa....It is a gorgeous day, very Fall like.....

Mary, Sorry to hear your still having so much pain...Gotta rest, girl friend....I love to hear the updates on Scottie..It is like having a new baby in the house, isn't it? I can imagine the oohs and aahs coming from the family when they see him....I have a feeling, he's going to get his share of hugs and kisses.....

Joanne, you really had me confused yesterday when you said your Bengals were playing our Pirates...I had Jim believing your Reds were in town...But, it was your Bengals that beat up on our Steelers...Of course our Pirates also lost...Can you imagine, our 3 Pgh. teams all in town last night and they all lost....Bad night for the "Burgh".....

Judi, sounds like you're getting back to normal...Just don't overdue....

Our dinner will probably be meat loaf, baked potatoes and much to Jim's dismay, a veggie....And I have apple square in the oven for afters....I might have to tell him, no afters if you don't eat your veggies, lol......

Happy eating................

Oh, Dorothy! That is too funny..now I really do know that the football team is the Steelers! lol! We won, but I want to cheer on Big Ben..

Tonight I'm on my own with no car...so it will be the leftover pizza in the freezer. Earl had to take his brother for a procedure this afternoon. I have no idea when he'll be home!

Irish, every time that Earl goes for a piece of banana bar it gets bigger! lol!!
