SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Sept 7th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Sep 07, 2013 4:34 am

good morning!

JANA - a carnival-theme pot luck! the main dish could be 'Coney Island dogs", Chili-con-"carnie", "carn-dogs", or ??? Soumds like a lot of fun!

LYN - I'll mention that book to Bill. Somewhere we do have "Training Your Sheltie" that he bought when Snickers was little. But Snick was 6 mos old when he got us. He was pretty well trained.

I am going to my DD's Pampered Chef party at 3pm today. I'm sure there will be food there. So DH is on his own! He's plenty capable if he wants to be. He just doesn't usually want to be!

Is anyone cooking for you tonite?

Afternoon all from sunny, warm, Sw. Pa....We're having purrrrfect Fall days......

Mary, you are too much with all your "carn" foods but they do sound good, don't they? Years ago when we got our Red Persian, someone gave us a book on Persians and how to train/raise them...We should have known, you don't train a Persian or any other cat, they train you! And I'm sure you've had enough insight with Shelties, you'll have no trouble....That new Sheltie will have you trained in no time.....

And like you Mary, I'll be out and about today....Cari, Kathy's youngest DD, is here for the weekend and we're going to the Irish Festival...Lots of food, music and dancing....It will be hard not to join in the dancing but you can bet I'll have my share of the food.....I don't think Jim's worried about what's for dinner, he's been trying to get us going for over an hour....I have a feeling he enjoys having a quiet house to himself......

Anyone else not cooking today????

Happy eating...............

Good Evening All......Autumn is definitely making a break through here.....quite chilly....and needed my jacket for todays trip out for breakfast.....and it stayed on all day.....

Had a very busy day yesterday.....didn't make it here.....had an early night and didn't wake up once.....don't get those kind of nights very often.....so I had a lay-in as well this morning....just to treat myself....and I have to say it was bl...y lovely....

MARYz....Ha ha you already know about dogs and their liking for shoes.....that's the only advice I would have given you.....when we had our first Golden Labrador Candy......how she loved shoes.....she chewed up just one of each pair I had....only had the ones I was wearing.....that's how we found out....she could open doors......
enjoy your new baby when he/she arrives....Im sure you both will

Ok.....because we had breakfast out.....we just had Baked Beans on toast tonight.....which actually....was more than enough.....
hope the sewing leg gets better soon......

I know tonight will be burgers on the grill. I just can't seem to get in the mood to cook when it is so dog gone HOT!.

I don't get to come here too often to join in on cooking ideas. The time goes by so fast when I get on here to read the daily posts and scout around for pictures and other ideas. Before I know it, it has been over an hour on the computer. So I better just scoot along and get out of here.

I loved seeing the new puppy pictures and I think the name will just come to you naturally as you get to know your new little boy.

Good Luck with him.
