SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Aug 31st
Wow! Lot's of interesting chatter here yesterday! (yes - I do go back and read it all. I have to keep track of who's mentioning banned foods, who's eating out, and who's working on the street (that really doesn't sound good, Jana.)
LYN - so happy you're with us! We'll wean you over to mac'n'cheese soon with a little effort on our part! lol!!
Today DH says we're going to work together (usually it's just me!) and finish up the yard work in the back. Hopefully it will only take a few hours and one dose of XS Tylenol.
Supper tonite will be breakfast, I think. We have some leftover cooked, shredded potatoes. and eggs and sausage. Leftovers aren't always Ick-ala-mode. Sometimes they are tasty!
What's your plate plan for tonite? (notice I didn't say cooking plan?)

Good morning!
Let me explain the street mess - you see, all 150+ cubic yards of topsoil had to be dumped somewhere - so the street in front of the house was elected. The company dumped about 40 yards at a time and then the little tractor hauled it back - so the tractor drove over dirt and packed it into the street. When all was done, we had to clean up the packed dirt in the street - the city frowns on dirty streets - LOL - so we used square mouth shovels and scooped up as much as was possible. Then we used the power washer to wash down the rest to the gutter - now I have about 2 inches of silted dirt in the gutter in front of the house - Stu will scoop that up when it is dry - easier to do dry than wet. That is the story of all the dirt at my house.
Dinner is leftover ribs and corn - will add another green salad to it as well.
Mary - so tickled to learn of the new puppy - so close to home as well! The name will have to wait until his little personality shows - then you can name him or her. What fun!
Enjoy
Jana

Good afternoon from warm, now sunny but rain in the forecast, SW. Pa....How's that for a weather report? Here in Pa., we get a little (or sometimes a lot) of everything....
Mary, I am so darn excited about the new puppy....As Jana said, I guess you'll have to wait to name the new furbaby, depending on the personality...But, I'd have a list a mile long....And, you'll be happy, we didn't have that banned food last night...Come to think of it, I can't even remember what we ate...CRS is really getting bad....
Jana, I think I like the "working the streets" better than having to haul all that dirt and then clean the streets....And, yesterday, your description of you and DH shoveling really sounded like Frick and Frack, lol......
Not sure what might be on the menu but that breakfast idea sounds good...Either that or maybe we'll be lucky and the pizza guy will make a delivery....One can only hope!
Happy eating...............

JOANN Hulley beans are green beans that have matured & there are beans inside you shell out.DH likes them mixed in with green beans.Mostly hulleys which I do not care for.I like tender green beans.

Ok...I didn't read anything about a puppy for Maryz! Must be posted somewhere else...or I'm loosing it all together..lol!
RAIN!!! Finally! Yeah! Still hot and humid..but that will ease up this coming week. Just in time for the Village yard sale next weekend. We'll be setting up, unless the weather really would turn bad..we missed the Spring one because of rain.
Tonight is Frisch's Big Boy for dinner...we haven't been there in awhile. Earl's brother came over this afternoon...and our DGS & his new fiance' to show us her ring and new car. Earl helped her get a discount on a new Ford with the X plan (or whatever it's called!) and she is tickled to death! They have been dating since they were in the 10th grade...and so it's about time!

Hi Everyone,
Guess it is time to think about supper! Itis 6:30 here. lol I did wash the spinach for the salad earlier today. Tonight will be leftover pasta. It is very warm here. The house is still in the mid 80's. We usually have Mother Nature's air conditioning - fog or wind. We have had a nice breeze today unlike yesterday (i.e. no wind).
Jana - It could be worse with the broken hose. July 3rd I walked out to the laundry room and heard water running when we did not have any facets or washer on. We had a leak in a pipe under the house. DH looked at it and called the plumber. It was very close to electric wires under the house. The plumber left at 11:00 that night. This is not the first time this has happened to us. Not sure why copper pipe springs leaks, but it does. Oh yes, I am the one that hears the water. The first time it happened I kept hearing it for maybe four months. Our water bill was in the hundreds!!! DH listens to me now.
Maryz - A new puppy! I know you are both excited. I am happy for you.
