SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Aug 29th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Aug 29, 2013 3:53 am

JANA - I know you'll be happy to have Sarah back in the neighborhood! And babysitting will be so much easier, too!

Well, we're almost done with the leftovers! I think it's soup time! I have some fresh veggies that need eating up and I can put them all into one pot this way. Veggie soup and sandwiches. DH likes T---. as you can imagine, he doesn't get it very often. But once in a while, I put on my welding gloves and gas mask and make it for him. As for me, it will be egg salad.

Bon Appetit`!

Mary z, Gas mask & welding gloves.LOL Is it really that bad? Are you going to Houston this year? My SIL & I will get 2 full days this year.

Raining on Lake of the Woods today. At least it's cooler than the 90's we have had for several days, which is not normal for up here.

Dinner will be home made pizza.

I may pull out some fabric and start a project today. Haven't played with fabric all summer. I've posted a few times lately on Sew In thread, but I guess no one knows me or I'm on a black list and don't know it. Oh well, off to do something fun.

Good afternoon from slightly overcast, warm, SW. Pa...I think the rain is over for awhile...Now it's just muggy.....Typical summer here in Pa....

Mary, now I have a vision of this short red head, wearing a gas mask and welding gloves....Be brave girlfriend, go for it.....

Hi Lyn, don't feel bad, you're not on the bad list...I know, I get on and start posting and soon I've written a novel and haven't "gabbed" to everyone....Just keep posting, we want to hear what you're doing....

Not much happening in this household today....Jim has gone to help with the bingo, fur kids are sleeping and I'm running to Walgreens to print some pictures.....Boring, I know....

As far as dinner, that's boring also....I made a yellow squash casserole that Jim will not touch (more for me), so he might get a burger or a hot dog on the grille or maybe nothing...If the ladies treat him especially good at bingo, he won't be hungry...One can only hope!

Happy eating.......................

DH had his check up today so it was errands also.Does anyone else feel like me? Everytime you buy groceries it gets worse.I told DH I was going to do like MARYZ & use everything in the kitchen.LOL

Just got yard mowed. Was afraid it might rain & we have company coming for week end.Wanted it looking good.

Got Subway of course so no cooking.Have to make cake .Think I will try the angel food & pineapple like Suzanne's.

Got to run.....Becca

Good afternoon -

Black lists - not here! Unless I cook something banned - then I get in trouble! LOL

T--- sounds yummy to me for lunch today on ritz crackers -

I am so tired when I get in to cook dinner - it just may be grilled cheese and soup - I am shoveling all the spilled dirt from hauling to the back yard. I cleared 16 feet last night and still have a ton to go. That is not counting all in the street as well. Michael is sweeping the street into piles for me and he hauls the dirt to the backyard - we make a good team.

Enjoy

Good Evening All.....been quite busy in the garden for couple of days.....had to move my Camillia shrub and wanted to move the Hydrangas as well....but they have to wait a while as they are out in bloom at the moment......something has been doing some damage to a lot of the little shrubs and trees.....and we have also lost our Wisteria...will have to go detecting again.......

Lyn....I remember you....there was a photo of you at the wheel of your glorious travelling home....but I'm not sure what you call them.....don't think its an RV....could it be a Winnebago.....anyway.....I do remember you and your fishing.......

Becca....WOW......you own a mountain and 13 acres....excuse my lack of knowledge....but.....is it like a farm.....and do you have to spend much time mowing the grass......

Because we have been busy in the outside world.....its been a "thrown together meal.......Boiled Bacon.....Potatoes......and Tomatoes......and for afters a couple of Jammy Doughnuts......

Mary, I like T--- sometimes...and Earl wrinkles his nose whenever I have it...lol!!

HOT and HUMID again...by Monday it should rain. We really need some rain! Next week the temps should be dropping along with the humidity. I'm hoping they are right!

Lyn, I remember the same picture that Carol mentioned...good to see you back! Don't give up though, I like to hear from everyone!

Irish, I'm with Jim on the squash...lol! ugh.
And your day isn't boring to me..the only place I've been is to the bathroom! lol!

Dinner....hmmmmmmmmm. If I'm forced to cook, it might be meatloaf slices..and we have macaroni salad that I made on Tuesday.

Joanne

Edit: Well, Earl went to Medary's Market and bought some chicken fingers, cole slaw and baked beans...and we had my macaroni salad, too.
