Supper club, Aug, 19.....Monday

Post by Irishgram » Mon Aug 19, 2013 6:33 am

Good Monday afternoon from slightly overcast, warm, Sw. Pa...Just not sure if we're going to clear up or get more rain....One of those mystery days.......

Well, here it is, lunch time and I'm all alone! I have the coffee on, tea kettle is hot and the banana nut bread is cut....SO WHERE IS EVERYONE????

I was thinking I really should cook today but guess who is going to a covered dish picnic this evening? Yep, out again....So, I'm thinking of making Jim some spaghetti with meat balls and that way, I'll have leftovers for tomorrows lunch or dinner.....For our picnic, I made an Éclair pudding dessert and hopefully, I'll be able to keep you know who out of it...He has a way of sniffing out any and all sweets in the house......He'll get the leftovers, if there are any......

Joanne, you had asked why I wasn't going to Jim's picnics the other day....One was for the AOH and the other was for the volunteers at the firehall and it's mostly men that go...There are a few wives but I've never really gone to the AOH or the firehall so I don't know a lot of the people....

So, what's cooking in your kitchen.....

Happy eating..................

I'm here!!!!! Irish, that banana bread sounds good with a cup of coffee...ymmmmm! Earl's daughter makes that eclair dessert for our dinners...and there are NEVER any leftovers! So Jim better get his before you leave...

Tonight is Dinner with the old Pringles...at the Hibachi Buffet...an oriental buffet. We were supposed to go to the City Barbeque, but it's at the Mall, and there is terrible traffic with the construction there right now.

It's sunny and seasonable (mid 80's) today...we need some rain, but that won't come until the middle of the week...along with higher temps and humidity. Summer isn't quite over yet!

Good Evening All.....another grey day.....but fairly warm....so no grumbles here.....

Sir is feeling a lot better today.....hes mowed the lawn....cleaned up the Bird Stations.....delivered loads of green rubbish to the "Tip"......and sorted out his motor bike that was giving problems.....there is something to be said for having a "poorly"day....you start thinking about all the jobs that need to be done.....actually that doesn't happen to me......I just turn off the brain cells....and go to sleep.......

So...to food......todays menu....was yesterdays dinner we didn't get.....Roast Pork with Crackling and Apple Sauce.....Carrots...Runner Beans....and Potatoes.....and for afters.....Apple Crumble and Cream........

Carol

Jana.....Cheese on Toast.....oh yes the cheese has to be Seriously Strong Chedder........

Good afternoon!

I'll have a slice of that banana nut bread with a large cold glass of milk, please. Sounds yummy!

DH is not feeling well today or yesterday - just a part of the meds that he is taking - so I have no idea what I will eat for dinner - DH is eating chicken soup. I made me a corned beef with melted swiss cheese for dinner last night - might do the same again.

Enjoy!
