Thursday August 15th(hope thats right)

Good Evening All......had a couple of rather busy days.......carpet shampooing.....and making a start on tidying my sewing room......but.....on Wednesday morning my Cindy and the family came up for the day and "rescued" me.....so off we all went into town.....and.....guess what.....we had a lovely lunch.....and I didn't have to cook a meal last night.....aaahhhh.......the bestest thing of lunching out....is .....NO cooking that night.....and Sir even made the coffee.....so had a free evening too......
But today......have had to get back to sorting the sewing room......how I wish I had the "tidy gene" I passed onto my daughter....ok....room nice and tidy now.....just waiting for me to mess it up again......

However today I did have to turn the cooker on.....so the menu was Liver....Bacon and Onions....Runner Beans and Potatoes(that we should have had yesterday)...and for afters....Bakewell Tart and Custard.....

Sounds like a perfect day! It is funny but when you go out for lunch, you aren't hungry for dinner! Your menu for dinner sounds wonderful. I don't know what a Bakewell Tart and Custard is but hope you enjoy dinner even if you have to cook it. Isn't it funny how good dinner is when you don't have to be the cook! lol

Bakewell Tart is a Victoria Sponge flavoured with Almond Essence....in a pastry base covered with Blackcurrant Jam....and Custard is Yellow in colour and made like White Sauce.....
