Gee, see what happens when Mary goes away, no one wants to eat! But, I did put the coffee on and the kettle is hot so pull up a chair......

Not exactly sure what I'm doing today...Terry and Stephan left this morning and I'm walking around in a fog (normal, right).....There is much to do to kind of get the house back in order but I'm feeling sad.....

And not sure just what might be on our menu for tonight....It's going to be warm so we might use the grill or it might just be toasted cheese with fresh tomatoes...I did find some zucchini bread in the freezer so that will be afters....My freezer and pantry are looking kind of bare so a trip to Aldi's will be in order (one of these days)......

So what's cooking in your kitchen???

Hello IRISH & all others.Nice warm day here.Slow start but did get my walk in early.We had 30+ turkeys here at house last Friday.I have never seen a sight like that.Hens toms & their babies who are now as big as full grown chickens.Loved seeing them.Some come next day too.

Mondays always seem hard to get going.DH wanted soup of all things.And grilled cheese so that it is.Easy enough.I did not disagree.LOL

Good afternoon!

Just finished sewing some star points for Sarah's quilt - Ethan is napping - so now on to figure out dinner - I am taking out some salmon fillets and will grill them with a salad - that is after I get home from the other grands' house.

Good Evening All........

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:-

I DONT NEED TO GET ORGANISED......I JUST NEED A BIGGER SEWING ROOM..

Just one block placed wrong.....and I had to undo 3 rows.....a few choice words could be heard emitting from my sewing room......I really MUST tidy up.....lessons were learnt though....BEFORE I sew anything together.....it will be laid out on the bed first.....I don't have anywhere to put a design wall up.....

We have had a very busy week-end in the garden.....there are a lot of "light-fingered" people around this neck of the woods.....I get the Police Briefing every month.....and my word....you would be surprised at what goes missing......so....we were moving "Stones" from the front garden to the back.....now these are not normal stones.....they are "Barn Stones".....these are what were used in another era to keep the Barns off the ground to protect corn/wheat from vermin....one at each corner.....we only found out a few months ago....they are worth quite a few bob....and well sought after.....so better to remove temptation out of sight....

Irish.....know just how you feel......house always feels so empty when family leave.......

Washing and ironing today.....yak....still done now and put away....then onto food.....that was easy as we had had a roast yesterday.....so todays menu.....leftover Roast Pork.....Potatoes....Carrots .....Runner Beans.....Gooseberry and Apple Crumble with Custard for afters
