Recarded wool batting

Post by jtyree » Sat May 05, 2007 6:41 am

I am having wool cleaned and recarded. When the old quile was taken apart there was a pelon lining. Does anyone know if it is necessary to use a pelon, cheese cloth or muslin lining. This will be my first experience with this type of lining. It was going to cost almost $400 to have a queen size quilt made up at the shop where they are cleaning and recarding the wool, so I thought I would do it myself. The quilt is going to be very heavy, the wool will weigh 6 pounds.
