zfatcat, Baby lock is a brand name of a machine line like, Elna, Brother, Kenmore, Pfaff, Viking etc. They do make a good quality machine.

JanJan1953, I have used and enjoyed the model you are looking for. I do not owne one, but I did recomend one to my DSIL, she purchased it and is loving it. Just be sure you purchase it from someone that has the obediance corses. There are so many bells and whistles you will want to learn how to use them all.

I have a brother emboridery machine and I just love it. I have taken several classes doing embroidery and enjoyed them and the projects. Have fun with you machine.
