Good morning,
Well the Dr visit wasn't great Bill has pneumonia it's not that bad he is on to antibiotics and he should be good as new by next Saturday we have a follow up on Friday with our PCP.

MaryZ, So happy that you are home. I hope you gets lots of naps.
Judi, When I feel cold symptoms starting, I start taking Cold Calm. It has warded off many a cold.
Lois, Prayers for Bill.
The site is slow today.
Time to get dressed and head to the hospital. I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning!
Unseasonably warm for us. All our hopeful snow is gone. Just the tops of the mountains and ski resorts have any. The ski resorts are recycling water to make snow. They have snow making equipment that uses wet water, freezes that and blows out snow. Then we use that water again in the spring.
I have two batches of cookies left for today to bake for neighbor gifts. My new tree arrived and is up and decorated. The decorating went quick. Mr G hauled the old one out to the trash. Remember with the old fresh trees and needles all over? Well, I have white needles all over from these two trees!
Daniel's car is fixed and home. Now his jeep, which he has known for awhile, will go to the dealership. It has a cracked head, major repair, but under warranty. Daniel is hoping that the whole engine goes poof on the way to be fixed, then he'd get a whole new engine, not just the head fixed. All under warranty.
So not much here. No snow, no white Christmas. At least, the kids that get new bikes can ride them! Sled sales will be off.
Glad to read Maryz home and Garry's visits.
Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning Girls
Do you ever have nights when you have the weirdest dreams! One right after another! Shawn wants me to put a zipper in the side seam of his hunting pants, and I swear I was awake 1/2 the night trying to figure out which kind of zipper and how to put it in. I think I have it---- a long jacket separating zipper!. So if I'm a little spacy from lack of sleep..... I'll chalk it up to that!
Judi.... Hope your trip to the grocery stores goes well.... It's on my to-do list tho I have to admit I'm kind of waiting until next week as per my weather app, it's supposed to hit 38* on Tuesday --which is a whole lot better than the 1 BELOW zero on Saturday! I'll have to take both my grocery shopping list and my Christmas Shopping list and hit Target full speed!
Lois... OH Dear.... so Sorry to hear Bill has pneumonia.... I'm curious, did he get the pneumonia vaccine? I'm mostly wondering if so... does the vaccine help prevent it from becoming super serious? or is it supposed to prevent you from getting it all. I ask, because I just got an updated one and I'm hoping it prevents it!!!
There's two types --bacterial and viral.. Hope the antibiotic they gave him knocks it right out of him.
Lyn... Every day as I wake up I wonder what God has in store for Garry. I say a little prayer that He be gentle and grant him grace and peace. For you I pray as well, for comfort and strength. Am especially praying that the insurance company gets its act together!!!
Maryz.... did Foxy walk across your keep board? or did your meds kick in?
Jana... No snow for you? You want some? I can wrap up and send it FedEX! My DDIL Kris made most of the drapes in their house! She did a beautiful job and Shawn put up all the rods. She made sheers and drapes both, I think using that pleating tape. I have made drapes ---many many years ago and over the years, lots of curtains. I'm in the process now of making a new valance for one window here and a panel for my patio door. The fabric warehouse I go to has a TON if gorgeous home dec fabric.... It will definitely be a project for 2026! Tho Chriss had a good idea.... send YOU the measurements!! I only have 6 windows that need something new. I already make new curtains for the kitchen window.
Chriss... Great Idea... I'll measure up all those windows and let Jana know!
I sleep under a flannel sheet ( I only have a top flannel top sheet) 2 blankets, a "down" comforter and a quilt! Sometimes it does get a little too warm but it's so cozy, sometimes it's hard to get out of bed in the morning. Did Dad get your new shelf up?
guess I better get butt in gear. We have most of the stuff setup for our craft fair/open house, but I need to get a few other things organized to take over to Katie's later this morning. I'll be glad when this is over and I can pack up all the stuff and take it for donation somewhere!
Keep warm or keep cool.... where ever you are!

Re: Dec 11th
Good morning. I woke up to 37* and 2 1/2 hours later it's 39* woo hoo, a warming trend. I do see the sunshine and the fog is high. But I also see blue sky. It's going to be a wonderful day today.
I have no plans. I still haven't vacuumed or mopped, perhaps today, perhaps not. I would like to do one load of laundry and I might also do the bedding, or not.
The parents should be here today. I'll have to ask dad to give my furnace another look. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I have it shut off now to give the working parts a rest. Hoping I don't need to replace the furnace, but if I do it will last me the rest of my life.
Judi, I often don't remember what I want to put on my grocery list. Or I forget to take the list with me and have to try to remember. Hope your cold decides to uninvite itself.
Lois, glad Bill is on his way to being his old self. Glad he saw a doctor and didn't wait. what will the last three batches of cookies be?
Lyn, my thoughts are with you and Garry. I wish there was something I could say or do to help, but there really isn't. Just know I have you both on my mind often, hugs.
Maryz, you missed us? were you gone? ha ha. hope you are healing well and pain free. I'll try to crack the coded part of your post later.
Jana, Glad the new tree is up and sparkling and the cookies will be fresh hot out of the oven. My grandma didn't bake cookies but did have the cookie jar at a level where we grandkids could reach them.
Maryq, why does Shawn want a zipper on the side of his pants? Dad will work on my shelf today, things take time when he does it. His "one day project" often gets stretched out into more days. Thankfully he has weeks to tackle the windowsills. I also have flannel sheets, they are wonderful.
Tomorrow I go to a Christmas pot luck with a friend. I bought two salad kits and a disposable bowl to put them in. The ham is provided. and Santa will be there for the kids. It's a pretty cool event.
I have hamburger thawed out for dinner, perhaps a taco salad. I'd also like to fill my trunk with donation stuff and run it into town. And since it is senior day I might just shop at that thrift store.
You all have a fantastic day.
Chriss

Re: Dec 11th
Let's try this again,
MQ - nope - not Foxy. It was all me! Between meds and I kept falling asleep. Plus, typing at a weird angle in my lounge chair. I coudn't see the keyboard with light shining on it, the angle, and sleeping.
LYN - I've lost track of how Garry is doing, but sounds like he was at least able to be awake for Bob and Carol. Baby steps . . .
JUDI - that Cold Calm that Lyn reccommended to me did the job!
CHRISS - happy parents day! I'm starting to fall asleep again, so I better sign off. Don't want you to have too much code to crak...
Well, I better cut this short before I mess it up again. Still have anesthesia on board plus a wee snort of Oxy.
I'm doing a little better now than I was earlier this morning.
Hugs!

Chriss, taco salad sounds good. I might do that too. I laughed at your comment to Maryz about giving Bill a belly rub.
Maryz, I saw your post from earlier and laughed. You can sure tell when drugs are on board. Glad you are doing better than you thought.
Maryq, I hate when I get an idea and try to figure it out when I'm supposed to be sleeping.
Jana, I've made lots of curtains over the years too. Super easy. Daniel is sure having a bad luck with vehicles lately.
Lyn, If our weather comes your way it will get warmer. It's been in the low 80's this week. Glad Gary was able to talk a little bit. Sounds like his poor body is just warn out from all the trauma in his brain. Prayers for you both.
Lois, what a bummer for Bill. Hope he's not down too long.
Judi, hope your cold doesn't hang around too long.
I got a walk in with both the boys this morning. Now to do my shoulder exercises and get cleaned up. I have a few errands I need to do and want to get the See's candy store early before it gets crazy.
Have a lovely day.

Just placed the order with my DDS for my final implants! They take 2 or 3 weeks. Now I can sing all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth! The light is at the end of the tunnel! It had better no be another train!
