Nice and sunny day here. We have had no hurricane problems and that has been great. I hope the areas of Calif. have been handling the fires and floods, it just seems never to stop. The news show the damages.

MaryZ the MSQ has the templates for the "Nativity " Christmas wall hanging on sale. Of course, that happened the day I got mine delivered. A few dollars more ($10.00) of well. Misty did the tutorial.
Check it out. I happened to find the background fabric in my stash.

Thanksgiving turkey was brought. Hope Fran makes her wonderful sweet potato pie its so great. Joe and Fran, Laura and Nick will be here. The past almost 2 years have flown bye in a blur. Time just flies by.
Prayers for those in need.

Wednesday was not a good day.
Garry had some problems late Wednesday afternoon, getting weak in right leg. I was on the insurance call sitting at my desk and heard him in the kitchen. Came out and found him on one knee on the floor. Told the lady on the phone to hold on and helped him up. While still on the phone talking plans, I helped him get to his recliner. I finally told the lady to email 3 plans and I'd review them. Garry got worse right after dinner, he couldn't stand up. I called 911, great people here in Sunrise Beach. He has had another stroke. This time on the left side of the brain, affecting speech and right side. He's doing okay, but he'll need to go to a Rehab hospital for a time, when he's released from the hospital that's 18 miles east of us. It didn't help that they didn't have a room open until 2 p.m. yesterday, so he'd spent 17 hours in ER. Of course they have run lots of tests. Yesterday I had to look over the insurance plans. We have to pay a monthly premium with United Airlines and the 3 plans lady emailed were all zero premium. That looked good until I got down to out of pocket costs. Our present policy is $1,200 out of pocket. These other plans were $6,700 to $14,000. Ouch! I called United and we're staying with the company plan.

Mr. sleep in, called me at 6 a.m. I need to shower and get to the hospital. They gave me a list of rehab hospitals, and I have to figure out which one is best to send him to.

I would appreciate any extra prayers you have.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning,

Testing my internet this morning. We didn't think we would have it with our cable drop last night. So that's why I put most of my post on yesterday's thread at end of the day.

Judi - Have a good time at the wedding! I Googled the Whitney. Wow! Beautiful and supposedly haunted to boot! Very similar to The Dexter in Austin, TX. Our entire family went there for Autumn's 40th birthday. Also haunted. Bummer about Ken's worrisome labs. Good thing you bought that black outfit! You're all set! Seriously, though, like I mentioned to you, we have a friend - a doctor - who refuses to even have his PSA taken because he says 50% of them are inaccurate. Bill's has been 11-13 for years, has had many biopsies, and all have been negative. He just runs high.

Lyn - so sorry to hear about Garry's stroke! Glad you called 911! Saying prayers. Please keep us updated when you have time - and oomph enough to type! If you are busy with Garry but want to give us an update, text me and I will share with our group. Insurance plans! Ugh! We pay for ours - about $400/mo. But as long as we've had our plan we've never paid anything out of our own pockets, even with all the bill's I've been racking up in the last 7 months. We are way ahead.

Flo - I hope the kids get some recourse for the "non-repairs" of their vehicle.

Diane - Nice to have your TG all set. I hope you get your pie! Happy no hurricanes have bothered you this year. Living on the East Coast seems like you have lots of opportunity for weather excitement!

Lois - I hope Mary behaves herself today!

Going to keep this short. Power company and the tree guy will both be here in less than 2 hours. (and it's pouring rain!) Got to shower, eat breakfast, and kids need to push their fifth-wheel back further towards the back woods, out of reach of the maple that will be coming down this morning. Last night at our friends was nice. She served ham and cheese sliders in the oven and they were delish! Made with those Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. Susie was kind enough to make special cheese/tomato sliders for Lara who is vegetarian. They accepted our invitation for Thanksgiving so we're getting a plan together! L&L are going to his family.

My DB, Gene, may go home from the hospital today. He has been diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia which can be genetic. He's had 4 units of blood, and is up and walking. Brings to mind that 35 years ago my dad had a strange anemia the docs could never put a name to. And Anemia is also on my grandpa's death certificate as a contributing factor. And oddly, all three had the exact same name - Jr. and the third. But thank you for the prayers! He and Terry (quiet member of our QIAD forum) have only been married 6 weeks.

Autumn sent us a text yesterday. Amara found a figurine of a Christmas tree. And she said, "Tree! Present! Nonnie & Pop!" Aut told me our grandparenting plan (dare I call it a scheme?) is a great success and our work is now complete. She is spoiled! and expects a present every day! lol!!

Offering up prayers for everyone, but especially for those with special needs today.πŸ’—

Flo- I live in Myrtle beach S.C. Taxes and cost of living are decent here compared to other states. How have you been feeling? How often do you now see your doctor? After today I just have Mon and Tues for radiation. Then a short break then visit to surgeon for final check and then cancer dr for 5 years of hormonal therapy.

Prayers for Garry being said right now. Please post when you can. You are not alone.

Good Morning Girls!!!

You won't believe this, but I think I'll be able to open windows sometime this afternoon! It's going to get up to 66* or so!!! Maybe I WILL dig out my shorts and/or capri pants!

Judi...Oh dear, I so hope all is ok for Ken! I'm guessing they did some lab work too, to check his PSA numbers? Does he have to wait very long to get in for the MRI? The waiting sucks. I'm kind of getting the bug to get out the Christmas stuff here too, but will have to wait until after Thanksgiving when the boys can come get stuff down from the rafters! I sure wish there was a better place to store the store so I could get at it easier---maybe when I get rid of/use up more of my fabric!

Diane... Now the MSQ Nativity templates are on sale???? Figures--I already bought them. But I think I got a good price anyway at the time. I did get a little wall hanging made using them. If you get them... be careful.... Some of them you have to flip over to make them come out the right direction to put together per the picture on the back of the box. It doesn't come with any directions!!! And don't forget to cut 3 of the Wisemen--there's only one template for them.

Lyn.... Oh my goodness... So sorry to hear Garry is in the hospital!!! Will definitely be sending lots of prayers for him--for speedy recovery... and for you as the caregiver! If you can look up Rehab facilities on YELP..... try that to see what the reviews are of the place. When I was working in Long Term Care pharmacy, I was very familiar with the facilities in my area and knew for sure which ones I would NOT even admit my dog to!!!! Very helpful when we had to find a good place for my Mom. If you can visit ahead of time... do it.

Lois.... Oh do you hide things in the back of the closet too ---- that you promise you'll get to "one of these days"

Maryz....A lot of activity around you today!! Are you going to take some cool pictures? I'm trying to remember your yard along that side of the garage--picturing where L & L park their home. I've made those ham/cheese sliders! OH so delicious! Might just have to make them again one of these days. I do love those Hawaiian rolls! Congratulations... you have achieved the Grandparent goal!! Spoiled Grandkids!!! Yes, sink arrived, but now there is a delay with the countertops--perhaps the week of Thanksgiving instead of next week!

Lori... Glad you are feeling better.

Tinab.... The best part of any day is playing with fabric!!

Chriss....How's your kitchen project coming? Has Dad been able to fix up the space where the oven was? Yes, my countertops got delayed. It's a small company that's doing the work, and when one installer calls in sick or family emergency, everything they are working on has to shift. Guess it's not the end of the world.. but I'm sure getting anxious to get it done!!

Time to go warm up my coffee and get in the shower. Today is my Kevin's 45th birthday--oh how I remember that day!! He's my kid that was almost born in the car. Walked into ER of hospital at 12:10am--- he was born at 12:28am. DH still out parking the car! So, I'm waiting on a phone call to see where/when he wants to meet for lunch. He might have to work a bit this morning. When the weather is nice like this, he pretty much has to be on duty at his golf course.

Wishing you all a sunny day.... I would share mine if I could!
Lots of prayers all around.

Good morning!

I'm hoping for a quiet do nothing day. We'll see if that happens. I'm tired still from my appointment yesterday.

Lyn - praying for you and Garry, to get all the help and answers for his care. Company plans for insurance can drive you batty! I too deal with issues of what you can and can't do.

Maryz - hoping for a break in the rain to get the rest of the tree down. I have a refrigerator magnet that says, kids are spoiled because you can't spank Grandma. Good job of following the Grandma rules!

Judi - enjoy all the festivities! Ken is just following the rules for all men, everything is the worst that could be!

Diane - almost through, yippee! Dinner sounds yummy.

Flo - seems like any repair work is not up to old fashioned, take pride in what you do. Glad Joe can fix it.

Mr G is now up and getting the routine started here. A medication routine we follow. I keep track of all the meds, so he doesn't take the wrong one, forget or too many. Later, I donned a run to the grocery store. Breakfast today, I'm stirring up a half batch of Snickerdoodle muffins. That means only 6, not twelve. I have a 6 cup muffin pan that's perfect.

Y'all are always in my prayers,
Hugs,
Jana
