Good chilly morning,

I had a great day yesterday everything turned out good first Bill went to town and the place was no longer there so then we went to the mall I got a great pair of sneakers reg 80.00 I got them for 40.00 then I finally found a winter hats I've had so many but they made my head itch so I found one made out of chanele then I found 2 tops made out of the same stuff then we went to dicks they started selling hunting license again so when we got back home he took his old license went back for the new one.
I also got the quilt finished and am now sewing the binding to the back.
Today is Rosie day we are finally making our way down to the new house so that's what our day will be it's been a minute for all of us to get together because life kept getting in the way.

Well I hope everyone has a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good cool start to the day.
5 more days left in radiation. I'll be on to the next step real soon. Although I went to the regular doctor and have a uti. Why and how-makes 3 within the last few months. So now I'll have to add a urologist to my and Joes list of "ogist" to our list. UGH!! (I would rather add chocolate to my list instead of doctors.)
Hope Joes results come back this week=waiting is rough.
Waiting for the templates from MSQ for the Nativity set. Found the background fabric in my stash and I can't wait to get it started. It should be here for Friday. Have you seen it on their tutorial?

Thanksgiving is right on our door steps, how did it sneak in so fast?? LOL
Enjoy the day
Diane

Good morning,

LOIS - you had a good day shopping! When I'm looking for something specific, I can never find anything. Did Rosie build a new house? How far does she live from you?

LORI - sorry you are so sore after PT. I hope the ice did the trick and you are better today.

TINA B - glad you have tops and backs to work on for the church. I hope more appear soon. You don't do all the tops yourself, do you? Sorry you have to have a crown. Ugh. I need a filling Nov 25 - and a cleaning, same day.

MARY Q - so what did you end up working on yesterday? You said you were going to pick up one of your UFO's . . . Sounds like soup was the order or the day yesterday - especially bean. We are still eating our broccoli cheddar.

DIANE - sorry the UTI's are haunting you. What a pain - literally. Will say prayers for good outcomes for Joe. And no, I haven't seen a Nativity from MSQC. Though about 4 years ago they had a Nativity play set for little kids - I made that for Amara. Is this different? Is it the Starry Night pattern from Sew Kind of Wonderful? I made that quilt, too, but changed out the background to fabric that looked like a starry night.

JANA - I hope you get your new teeth before TG! How many implants are you getting?

LYN - hopefully you got out to the cabin yesterday and hopefully in the course of unpacking you found those lost brackets before you had to go buy more for the fifth shelf! Will either of your girls come to Texas for TG?

VAL - Maybe if you Google the "lost doctor's" name, you can find out where she has gone to? And maybe after you leave, Tony will find life more difficult and be willing to consider moving - closer to town, to a 55+ or assisted community, - or - be careful here - in with you.

JUDI - Hopefully you have the jersey problem solved - even if you have to wait a bit. So nice of you to make a kitchen witch for Gloria - I think I mentioned to you that I was given one as a wedding shower gift back in 1971. It made many moves with me over the years but eventually she fell apart.

CHRISS - where are you?? Are you OK? Don't make me come down there! Did you go to visit Elliott? I think you mentioned something about that. What did he have to say for himself?

Yesterday I finally finished clearing away all the mess from going through Christmas stuff. I've got my big storage closet organized except for one last thing - Bill needs to climb the 2-step ladder for me to get all the jigsaw puzzles. I want to get rid of several of them. Not sure why I save them but we're going to the hospital today for my appointment so I'll take them for the surgical waiting room. I also got my KTVC quilt ready for quilting. Bill says he will put it on the frame soon. Rainy days are ahead. It's a good rainy day activity. I might get the binding and label ready this afternoon.

Today I have my pre-op appointment. If I pass the physical exam, CXR, labs, etc, then I think I'll be IN and maybe get a surgery date! I've already got my dental clearance, even though I still have to have my one filling and a cleaning Nov 25. Dentist made me pinky swear I wouldn't skip out on those appts. And I won't. And since all my other chores are done now, maybe I'll finally get to my sewing machine before or after my appt and work on my table runner. I've been thinking about a back for it. Often I back a seasonal TR with an adjacent season - like TG or winter in this case. Or I might take all my small Christmas scraps and make a crazy quilt or crumb backing. I'll have to think on that . . .

Gene received a fourth unit of blood. He was extremely anemic! They are still treating the liver infection. Late last night he was moved out of ICU to a medical floor. Hopefully that is a good sign.

The A-Team should be home this afternoon. They texted last night they were camped at Balmorhea St Park in west Texas. We knew exactly where they were as we've camped there ourselves. Antonio says Amara keeps asking about us and Aunt Lara and Uncle Lee and Scottie. So we made a 20 second video of all of us last night and sent it to Antonio's phone. He answered back that she loved the video.

Last night we had more broccoli cheddar soup. It's still good! I don't know if Bill is up to it a third night in a row. They say it keeps a week in the fridge but not to freeze it - cheese, you know. But maybe we could break up the daily menus tonite with steak and baked potato.

That's all for now. Have a happy Hump Day!

Good morning!

Up before the sun is. My brain is racing with how I'm going to teach my friend to quilt. I have no idea on how much she knows, sewing wise, so it will be a learning curve for both of us.

My dental appointment is 3 pm, tomorrow, can't wait! They will do final scans and measurements. I went the route of what is called, a full arch implant. That means, all my teeth are replaced with implants. Top and bottom. These arches are permanently installed and act just like the original teeth. What's there now are called healing teeth, temporary and easily broken. That's why all the soft food, rule, cut with a plastic fork. Well, I thought that a Hostess snowball was within the rules, nope, I broke part of the upper temporary arch and it's now loose and has sharp edges, irritating my mouth. But at least it's at the end of the time for healing and my permanent teeth will be put in. So the Dr will remove the broken temporary and put in another temporary for the week or two, until the permanent teeth arrive. Almost a good patient for the 4 months! Timing is on how busy the lab is. Not busy, 1 week. Busy, up to 2 weeks, which is Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving dinner is at Sarah's. We all have assignments. Emma has asked to set the table - very formal. Formal to the point of each place setting is measured with a ruler, exactly where it should be, according to Emily Post. Logan wants to help too, with the name cards and decorations. It's good that Sarah has the table space and china. We're happy to help and see the next-generation wanting to do this! Tradition is a family staple here.

Not much else. Mr G's dermatology appointment went well. The Dr removed just a tiny bit more on the growth near his glasses. Done now for 6 months. Using a teaching hospital is good, but has it draw backs. They always need patients to practice on! 🙄

Time to scoot and get dressed,

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Good Morning Girsl

Just a quick fly by this morning. I'm headed out the door to scoop up Peggy and head off to Hobby Lobby. I need a few Christmas craft supplies and who knows.... I may wander through the fabric department. I'm kinda sorta looking for some fabric to make new curtains for my kitchen window, but not even sure what I want! I'll know it when I see it I guess..

Anyway..... Hope y'all have a great day and I'll try to stop by when I get home!!

And I'm back! I'm sure you missed me. Showered, dressed, and last of quilt room storage closet purged and rearranged - jigsaw puzzles. I have a lot! I'm keeping 8 and 8 are going with me today for my appt. It's at St. Joe's hospital so I will donate them to their surgery waiting room.

MQ - have a fun day!

JUDI - it's handy having Ken still around to finish up those honey-do's before the holidays. But I hope this doesn't mean he's GONE for the holidays! And if I get to vote on your supper, I'm going with the spaghetti!

JANA - I hope your teeth all work out (or in!). Sounds like you will have a very valuable mouth when you are done! Your TG sounds very nice, especially with the littles involved so much. It's all about FAMILY! I didn't know you were going to teach a friend to quilt until you mentioned it yesterday. You said you might start with a log cabin. A lot of experienced quilters have trouble with that block. You may want to think about a more basic block depending on her present skill level - a 4P, 9P, Jacob's Ladder, etc. Have some choices and examples handy.

I have a short list of small chores to do today (meaning ask Bill to do) plus my dr appt which they say should only take 45 minutes. As long as we're in Tacoma, we might go over to that Hallmark before going home. If I overspend I'll just say, "Judi made me do it!".

And now - another cup of coffee and either work on CW's (getting close to the end!) or table runner - maybe both.

Good morning.

Not much new here. Cardio rehab seems to take a lot of my time. It's almost like working a job. I come home and want a nap. I should be done the second week of December which is creeping up and will be here soon. I really like it but will also be glad to not have to make that 60 mile round trip three days a week.

I feel like I should be done being tired. And my aches should go away. Eventually I will be over all this, patience.

Got my oil changed yesterday, It's 1 1/2 hours one way. Then I spent my money in thrift stores, nothing too exciting.

Last night I went to a dinner for Veterans. They had pasta and salad. Sat with three other ladies and I can honestly say it's the first time I was involved in the medical issue discussion. Before I had always been so proud of not having to take medicines or have any medical issues. This time I was able to contribute to the conversation about our owies.

I need to get dressed to go to rehab. I want to put a roast in the crockpot before I go. You girls have a fab day
Chriss.

Maryz -

We are thinking right along the same wavelength. Today I get her started with supplies needed. And how to set up a quarter inch seam. Then she can go to the LQS, get cutter, mat, etc and 2 fat quarters. Light and dark. Next lesson will be half square triangles. That block can be made into a pillow. She can play with designing a pattern with the half square triangles. Then on to either a log cabin or my strip quilt as you go Christmas stocking. Well see how it goes.

Warming back up, I'm glad.

All Y'all to the north, did you go out and see the Northern Lights last night? OMG, I saw a FB post from Estes Park and people were seeing them with out the need of taking photos with night mode on. It was almost 10 when I went out and could see a hint of pink. Stood real still and took photos and yep, there they were. They should be visible again tonight. I will go out earlier.

MaryZ, If the A team gets out of town a ways, they should be able to take photos and see the Northern Lights. As for the Cabin, only opened the door to put the brackets inside.

I got a text from DGD, Kaylyn, who got to Texas a week ago. She may come up this weekend to visit. That means I need to move that extra stuff out of the guest bedroom or see if I can hide it under the bed.

Today is our phone appointment with the insurance people. I have clothes to hang and fold. Maybe time in the Cabin. Dinner will be leftover Chili from last night.

Sending up prayers for all needs mentioned. I hope everyone has a great day. And I hope y'all have clear skies to see God painting.
Lyn
