Well I leaned with the palm of my hand on the corner of the keyboard and my entire post poofed. Something there poofs the posts,,
Good morning It is clear and cold sun is rising, it was pink and orange this morning, It was ark when I got up emptied the dishasher and started laundry. Ken has gone to his local office to do some paper work and get a work phone set up. When he gets back we will go get his a new pair of dress pants,,,His are too big , way too big, He hardly ever gets dressed up unless there is a special church event or a wedding or a funeral. We have 2 weddings one this saturday and one in 2 weeks. .so he decided to check it out last night,,,and boom we need to go shopping. ( should I say I mentioned it several weeks ago and was ignored)
Last night I decided to get quilting on the cursed quilt. I did a basting run and sure as shootin I got a tuck in the border too big to be ignored,,Had to unstitch the basting and start over,,,( I swear too) I got about half quilted in a basic meander. This quilt is so busy the quilting hardly shows..but I am glad to be on the finish line,,,Not sure when I will get to it...Tomorrow I have a dexascan and a mammo in the after noon...I will be anxious to know if my bones are even a little better but not worse.
Well I hope you all have a great day,,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Morning!
Yesterday got a late start on altering DGD costume. Worked til almost 6pm. My sewing machine timing is off. Having trouble with zigzag stitch. Joe & I talked last night, when things slow down in month or so, he will adjust timing. Until then will look for good repair shop in area. My machine is at least 14 yrs old and I have done all the maintenance. He offered me a new one, but unless you spend more than I have to spend, they will not last like this one.
DDIL due over again. We will make a cape & hat for DGD.

Good morning,

I thought I would come on before I have to get ready for my stress test so here I am.
Yesterday I managed to get to almost the half mark on the flamingos .
I want to get that quilt done I have the snowman quilt the lapsize for my nieces 50th birthday so I do have to get moving.
I went to the foot Dr yesterday and I'm doing 4 weeks of PT 2 times a week.
I went yesterday and checked it out they will do an evaluation on Friday the place is 10 minutes from the house.
The reason for the PT is that around the ankle it sill swells and if it doesn't help I will have to go for an MRI he thinks it's a vain that's the problem so I was trying to cut to the chase and just get the MRI done and he said that is not how this works. .
Well that my story for today.
Everyone have a little fun.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good morning,

It was a quiet evening last night. All the A's went to Seattle for two nights to see friends. They are staying in a motel. But the L's are coming home today. So we won't be alone for long.

LYN - Isn't HEB just the best grocery store ever! I wish we had them here. And yes, the little hand held game I mentioned with the sliding tiles is like the one you indicated, except ours was 3"x5". It was actually my dad's. MY mom died 2 weeks after my DH#2, so I would stop by often to have coffee together and just talk. He had that little game on his windowsill by his chair and every time I came by I messed it up for him, so he could put it back in order. It gave him a little something to do. Neither of us ever mentioned it but it was kind of our quiet little thing for a while. And yes, I LOVE Ray Stevens and Mississippi Squirrel is one of his best. I also love The Streak and It's Me Again, Margaret.

CHRISS - I'm glad you are enjoying your rehab exercises. Would be a bummer if you didn't. Can't believe you are halfway through already. Tacos is the way to go with my clan. There are the 4 vegetarians, one with several dietary restrictions, and one who is VERY picky and will only eat certain things. It's just easiest to put out every topping I can think of, including choice of tortillas and hard shells, and let everyone fix their own. So what day are you going to see Elliott? You probably said but I can't remember.

TINA B - Yep! Squirrels! Lots of them around this forum! I bond with fabrics, too. Or don't. Sometimes I wonder how some pieces ever found their way into my stash! But they are good to have on hand for odd projects here and there - like making cases for the dozen heat packs I just finished for my massage therapist. Got rid of a lot of unwanted fabrics there!

LORI - We did watch that epic baseball game but only up to the 10th inning. And I slept through the 9th so we went to bed. Glad Jack is improving. I think you said you give him glucosamine/condroitin, but do you give him any additional pain med? Your Bill is 7 months younger than I am. A kid!

JANA - glad you found a smart way to keep track of your chair remote! I have an old LP record rack on my cutting table to hold my rulers but perhaps a low basket would work to keep those templates corralled. And maybe a suggestion to the company that they lightly shade them so they can be seen more easily. Doesn't seem like clear is the best idea.

JUDI - glad that injection is behind you now. Do you have any side effects afterward? How did your soup turn out? Sorry that quilt is haunting you. Men are funny about clothes. Bill has clothes from before I met him which is 35 years ago. He never wears them, but he won't let them go. So they take up valuable closet space (his space, NOT mine!). He has a long sleeved tee also from his BM era (which is what I jokingly refer to his life Before Mary) and it is threadbare. He never wore it. So I made the dire mistake of tossing it out. He hit the ceiling and dug it out of the trash. Don't get me started on his ugly cargo pants from the 80's. They almost caused a divorce until I went into his closet and pulled them out. He just didn't see them.

FLO - beef stroganoff sounds delicious. I usually make mine with chicken but occasionally we go for the beef. After 5 days on the road seems like a driver should get 5 days off to me, not just 2. It's a tough job! What is the costume that you are altering for your DGD? A witch? Hope your machine straightens itself out for you. What kind do you have?

LOIS - your calendar will be as messed up as mine soon! You can't see the calendar for all the appts! Would be nice if you could 'cut to the chase' and go for that MRI, but they are many thousands of dollars! I was shocked! PT is infinitely cheaper and it just might solve the problem. Those therapists can work wonders.

MARY Q - a bummer about your dishwasher not being hooked up yet. Can you ask your son to do it? Oh, bliteral hip replacements have been the plan for months. It's just all the waiting for appts that is taking so long. I waited 2 months for my first ortho appt. When I arrived he refused to see me because I had a hx of that car accident in Texas last Dec. So I waited another 6 weeks to see a different dr (in the same office!). I didn't care for him at all so I waited another month to see the third dr's PA (new office!). And then 2 more weeks to see the surgeon himself. In there I also waited 3 weeks for back shots and 3 weeks to see the back dr (who will reassess my back after full recovery from both hip surgeries). And just like that! Six months is gone! Gotta love how they do medicine nowadays.

Yesterday was a morning of giving somebody more tractor rides. Then we colored on the cement floor of our shop. After that we took a long slow walk around our property through the woods, past the chickens, looking at everything and picking up handfulls of pretty yellow maple leaves. Then more tractor rides. After lunch, we turned on the TV and instead of Peppa Pig and Bluey, we watched Jetsons, Flintstones, Yogi Bear and Snagglepuss cartoons! She was enthralled with the oldies from her grandparents' childhood. But we thought it funny that the commercials were all about Medicare and Supplements! Guess they knew their real audience! lol! I also finished all the "envelope style" cases for the heat packs. We'll deliver them next week when I go for my massage appt.

No plans for today. I am out of sewing projects except for CW's. I am getting tired of them, but I'm approaching the finish line and don't want it to become a UFO. So I plan to work on it enough to keep it a WIP (Work in Progress). We didn't know the kids were leaving last night so we didn't have the lasagna but tomato soup and grilled cheese instead. Not sure what tonite's supper will be. Though that stroganoff FLO mentioned sounds like it might be a good idea.

have a happy day!

Good morning!

Not much new in these parts. I have my eye Dr appointment at noon. Then hopefully the Dr appointments will settle down. This month was the six month set, so we'll do it all again in April.

It's cold, so after I'm home, It's Batt Cave time. I'll see what squirrels have taken over down there. Some very entertaining squirrel videos are the ones with Fat Gus, maybe spelled Phat Gus. And then there's Simon's cat.

Hugs,
Jana

Good Morning girls

Just a quick hello this morning. I'm up and showered and will be gathering up my sewing machine in a minute for a drive to St. Cloud to bring it to the shop. I could be crazy and the machine is just fine, but I'd sure like an expert to look at it and listen to the sound it makes. I hate to keep using it until I get it checked out. I have things to make for the craft fair!

If I get a chance I'll check in when I get home!

Have a great day ---chase your squirrels but don't let them chase you!

Good afternoon quilty friends,
Very windy here today so 57 degrees seems cold. Had homemade soup for lunch to warm up after water aerobics. Had lab draw this morning so only one session of swimming, though still feeling cold and trying to warm up. If I sit under a blanket I fall asleep. Naps are ok. DH found out already his cholesterol is in a good range once again. That makes me feel good. Get my results on bone density, and mammo and labwork on Friday when we visit Dr. Then dentist appts in two weeks. Have a tooth being a tiny sensitive at times so most likely a crown for my collection. I should be considered Royal with my many crowns.
Got started and separated fabric for quilt tops, hope to get to this afternoon. Have to go ready lesson again for Bible study I am going to tonight.
Take care everyone,
TinaB

Back

A bit of good news on the Mr G front. Dr's put him through a battery of testing. They have pulled back the Lewy Body syndrome diagnosis and believe it's more just Parkinson's. Not that Parkinson is good, but better off that the Lewy Body. The Dr tested for memory issues and he doesn't have anymore than normal. He does have executive function issues, that is easily squireled! Don't we all. We will do PT for some Parkinson issues, like the hand shaking and stiffness. So that's where we're at now.

My eye is holding and improving very well. Stretched out the time between treatments.

Hope the Blue Jay's win again tonight and go home with a one game lead! I won't contaminate my TV with the other team, so I just check the score, online, during game time. Can you tell I dislike the other team immensely? Go Blue Jays!

Jana

Lyn, I think you're right about the game. I remember those. I bet it will be nice to stay put for a bit.

Jana, great news about your eyes. Sounds like they're doing everything possible to help Mr. G with a normal life despite his diagnosis.

Maryz, Jack was on Meloxicam. Today was the first day I didn't give it to him and he's about the same. I bet it is quite without the A team.

Lois, I'm with you. Just get to the part that will give a definitive diagnosis.

I spent the day with a few friends. We drove out to Temecula, had lunch, went to a winery, 2 quilt shops, and a couple other places. It's was a fun day. I'm very tired. Will probably go to bed a little early tonight. I did get in a short walk and my PT exercises before we left.

Sleep well
