Good morning,

It's 5:07 and I am up yesterday I didn't do my cleaning so instead I started cutting out Oh Little town but I'm running out of plastic clips I broke quite a few so I ordered another bunch they will be here tomorrow got to love Amazon.
I also emailed grace yesterday to see if they remotely even got the machine gave my case # and got a reply a few minutes later they got it on the 29 of september  so I probably won't have it back anytime soon.
So today I will clean because I'm at a stand still  .

Mary I'm so happy to hear you don't need back surgery.
Best of Luck to your brother Gene and his wife.

Chris happy to hear your doing well.
Judi sorry your not going to Florida in the winter may all of our winters be mild.

Well that's all the news from here have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.

Good Morning Lois I also hope we have a mild winter here but I doubt it according to the Farmers almanac we will be snowy. It is kind funny but I am not upset about not going we needed a break from it and had a few vacations this year and we plan on a few more short vacations. Including the week we will spend at the lake for my grand daughters wedding in July. She will get married about 2 hrs from home...we have rented a house on Lake huron for that week.
I got the last block of the VC quilt on the board and maybe I will start putting this top together this weekend, All in all this was a very generous kit so I am no longer worried about running out of fabric,,,as a matter of fact I have a bunch of scrap pieces to add to my scrap box. To qualify for the scrap box they must be over 3-4 inches,,
We are off to get Ken some fasting labs today and out for breakfast, then he will stop and pick out a new pair of glasses then we will come home and get a few things done before DD picks me up to go to my friend GLorias house She will alter Sophias home coming dress. Hoping all goes well. She is pnly in 9th grade so no date this time...a group of girls going together.
Well hope everyone has a great day, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning,

LOIS - hi there! Glad your machine was received. Hope they get to it quickly. You cut out Oh Little Town? Do you mean the Sew Kind of Wonderful pattern? I've forgotten how big that quilt is. Aren't there two sizes to choose from? Have you done, or plan to do, the Nativity quilt, Starry Night. Seems to me you did. I made that one a couple years ago but subbed in dark fabric that looked like a starry night for the background. It was a fun quilt to make.

LORI - congratulations on your 4 yr check up! Such good news! And I see your Cubs took their game! Next up, they play the Brewers (the Old Seattle Pilots team before the Mariners came to be)? Seattle doesn't play until tomorrow. Good to finally know what's wrong with your shoulder. I hope it heals quickly.

CHRISS - it's great that you've been cleared to drive. Did you confess you've been driving already for a couple of weeks? How come you need to drive your dad suddenly? Is he OK? Glad you skipped the vacuum for now. They are hard work. Whenever we asked my dad, "How soon will we get there?", he always answered "Bye'n'bye".

MARY Q - Autumn hasn't been home for at least 6 years. Since long before we bought our new-to-us car and that's been 5-1/2 years. They were going to arrive Oct 30, but stepped it up to Oct 23. Well, Alec will be on vacation in Japan and L&L will also be gone from Oct 15-29. So it's just going to be us here and Drew for the first week. As for your Mom's beautiful china, maybe when they are older your DGDs might appreciate it. Or you could donate it to an historical museum - they set up dioramas of rooms and often display tables set for meals. Or maybe you have nieces or nephews who would be interested? It's too special to put in the Goodwill.

JANA - well, now I have to go to Costco to see what you've bought this time. And I always dutifully make Bill look, too. I hope Ethan's meds get straightened out soon. Seems to me when he started taking these meds, you mentioned some people struggle with mixing them, but at that time, Ethan was doing OK with them.

VAL - glad you got to go to a class. Maybe there will be opportunities in a Vegas QS for classes, open sew, etc . .

JUDI - I'm glad you had fun out of the house yesterday! I finished my 13 ornament blocks yesterday and cut out the rectangles for the geese. I'm sure I'll do more cutting on them today, but maybe not so much sewing. A-Team will be here 3 weeks. I have a lot to do. What is Sophia's dress like for homecoming? Is it formal?

Yesterday Bill brought in all the stuff we'd packed in the trailer. Now to sort - what to mail? What to wrap and put under the fake tree that we don't have up yet? Grocery lists, fix a toy box, clean and babyproof the 'guest cottage'. My list goes on and I am moving really slowly these days. I have chiro at 9, Scottie has vet appt at 9:30, and my brother gets married at 10 (my time). Bill asked him what he was wearing. Gene's only response was a string tie.

So I better close this and get busy with stuff. Any stuff! My wheels are spinning.

happy Friday!

Good morning

Just a quick hello this morning, still in jammies, but need to hop in the shower, pack up the car, lock all windows and doors and hit the road! Not real time table, but I hope to be out of here by 11 or so .

Lois.... Did the give you an indication how long it will take to get your machine back to you? I hope you have nice understanding clients!

Judi... Can't wait to see your quilt top done! IF you do get it done over the weekend... I'd love to see!

Maryz... Bummer that L & L won't be home when the A team comes home! How long can Autumn stay? I doubt Evie would use like my Mom's china, but Corinne might! Or my sister's girls.

Flo.... No luck at the junk yard? Will you have to locate a brand new pump?

Chriss.... I wish I would have thought of that answer when my kids were kicking the back seat asking "how long until we get there"

Lori... OH gosh, I sure don't remember your cancer from 4 years ago.... But it's all good news that you have the all clear!!

Oh dear, time to fly. I'll be back Sunday afternoon sometime and will check in with y'all Monday morning for sure!
Wishing you all a Wonderful Weekend

Good morning!

Listening to the rin fall on the roof. It isn't quiet! Large drops and a heavy downpour with hail. Just wait ten minutes and the sun will be back.

If I could, please ask for a prayer or two. Kate's youngest sister was expecting a little boy in about ten weeks. Ahead of our Kate and baby. The sister experienced severe life threatening complications for her and the baby and yesterday a c-section happened. The team of doctors had less than two minutes to save both lives. The little boy was born, about 10 weeks early, survived and is in the NICU and the sister made it too. The little boy had some weight, more than the doctor thought, he weighed just over 4 pounds. So now we watch and pray. So a prayer is gratefully appreciated. It's another Utah weird name, Zion, for the baby. Mom is Montana. Thanks.

Not much here. We're pinning down triggers for Ethan's asthma. Something and smells at the school is triggering it. We already know he is allergic to jute. Found that out last year in his yoga class. Breaks out in a rash. So Sarah is playing detective. No school today, so Ethan's asthma will calm down.

A bit of sewing for me today. Watched my 49ers win last night and because of General Conference this weekend, BYU plays tonight.

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Good morning everyone

It's packing day here. Have the last load of wash going. Want to take as many clothes as I can so I don't have to wash so often. Got the rulers, etc packed that I think I will need. But alas, I know where every quilt shop in the Las Vegas area is! I will wait till this evening to pack the car.

Other than that, nothing much is new here. We are done with the rain game and humidity so back to normal early fall temps in the 70's.

Jana so happy to hear all is well with baby and Mom. Maryz I believe is a NICU nurse. I didn't watch the game cuz when I do they loose. Glad to see that final score!

Maryq I can't recall where you are going. DH is in a rushy mood this morning. I have reminded him that I will only forget things that way and then he will have to mail them to me. So he has decided to sit down and watch TV. Gee I wonder if he's in a hurry to get rid of me.

Lois glad your machine made it to it's destination. That kind of stuff always worries me.

Flo I have no idea where you might find something like that. Tractor supply maybe?

Maryz it really was nice to go to a class. Nothing like having a normal day. Hoping Scottie is okay?

Judi I never think to look in Farmer's Almanac. I guess the West Coast just doesn't do that. Always best to hold off that dating.

Chriss why did I know you put a jump start on driving?

Well I must get back to work. Have a great day.

I'm back for a few minutes. This morning II sorted out Christmas gifts for everyone, and I have piles everywhere. Just want to get a toy for You Know Who. I also remembered we are going to Oly tomorrow to our friends with the bum legs. We'll do what we can to help out and I have a taco/enchilada soup in the crockpot to take to them. (I combined two recipes - one being Jana's delicious enchilada soup). Cleaned the kitchen, walked maybe 1/2 mile, and now I'm back waiting for Bill to come home so I can go to chiropractor.

Scottie has vet appt while I'm at chiro. He's OK. Getting his monthly Librela shot for arthritis, plus one regular immunization.

JANA - Prayers already said! I retired from NICU 23 years ago but even at that time, nearly every 28-weeker in our unit was a survivor. They just needed time to grow and develop. But it's really hard on parents, I know. Kind of depends on what caused the early delivery. Lungs are the last to develop but if the pregnancy was stressed for a while, Nature has a way of developing those lungs early. So that's good news. Zion is certainly a unique name, though kind of nice. Please keep us posted on how things go.

VAL - happy packing! Sounds like you'll be going alone? Travel safely! Will your DH join you at any time?

LOIS - What is your background fabric like for your project? For Starry Night, I thought white background just didn't fit so I went with dark blue with little stars.

FLO - I hope you find your tractor part. And enjoy the tractor show. 30 years ago Bill restored my dad's 1948 Farmall "A" and we took it to a lot of tractor shows. There were often vendors there from quilts to antique toys to used parts. Maybe you'll find something there.

MARY Q - Lee and Lara and Alec will be back in time to spend a few days with A&A&A. Everything was all set for the A's to arrive Oct 30th, but then they threw us a curve and said it was going to be Oct 23rd instead. Have a wonderful weekend! Are you taking any food? Pumpkins? Cookies? Wish I were going along!

Got to run!

Good morning. It's going to be another great day today.

Yesterday I took my stepmom to get her hair done. I love how she feels pretty, even though it is only for a few hours, then she forgets. I also cleaned the parents bathrooms and will tackle their kitchen after rehab today.

Last night was rain, thunder and lightening. This morning the low cloud cover won't let me see the top of the mountain. thesky over my house is blue with white clouds. The mountains will likely see a storm later.

Lori, I am so very glad your cancer appointment went well. 4 years it great. hoping the meds help the shoulder. I didn't go to the store for stew fixin's yesterday either, Perhaps today. Very cool that your mom had the house to go to. I have never seen her picture but I am imagining a lady whose smile never ends and who had a hug for everyone. What a great place to not only grow up but get to go to as a kid, She was a memory maker. I need to do the note thing too.

Lois, I love those plastic clips and I love Amazon. I also didn't do any of my own housework yesterday. Today, for me, will be more of the same.

Judi, will all the grandkids from the FB picture be at the wedding? You could (because I'd love to see it) recreate the picture by having them all stand in the same place. For me, I've heard about the kids on this forum for years, and would love to see them in before and after pictures. Just so you know, it's not always about me and what I want. ha ha.

Maryz, I can hear your wheels spinning from here. Just think, you will get all three A's to yourself then you will have both girls home. Has Lara met Amara yet? now go get busy girl, the kids are coming home for Halloween, which I hear, at your house anyway, is called Christmas. Dad hurt his back and has chiropractor appointments.

Flo, we have a farm show here called The World Ag Expo. It's held yearly in Tulare, Ca. The one and only time I went it rained and I was soaked to the bone. It was fun but I've been there and don't need to go back.

Maryq, See you Sunday, or perhaps Monday. Have a marvy time.

Jana prayers said for little Zion and his mom and their family.

Valerie, I couldn't not drive. I had to get groceries, and stuff. Don't forget the rotary cutter and some thread. Have a safe trip, how long does it take to get there?

I need to get moving, I have to leave in half an hour and haven't had breakfast yet. No clue, but why should I start having a clue now, as to what is for dinner.

You girls have a great day
Chriss
