Good morning,
Since I could get on the sight this early I might as well post because as fast as I'm on here it might go down again.
My allergies are kicking my butt so I'm up watching murder she wrote and having coffee.
The only plan for today is to work on the quilted snowman I don't know what the weather is going to be for today because I haven't watched the news yet.
Chris I hope you had your pizza because no matter where your from hospital food isn't even for the birds.
Diane that's wonderful news God is really watching over you.
As for dinner it's up in the air .
Well that's all she wrote.
Everyone have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Put me in the can’t sleep category
Still in ICU I guess the hospital couldn’t find me a bed. I’m supposed to go home today
Never got my pizza, right now I’d settle for liver wurst
My ears are clogged, perhaps they have some peroxide other than that I am doing great
Have a fantastic day
Chriss

Good morning to all
LOIS- allergies can drive you nuts. My 2 DGDs have problems and Piper needs injection weekly for hers. I hope with winter coming that you'll feel better. Murder she wrote is my #1 go to show when I just want to listen and sew. Quiet time.
CHRIS- hope you can have your pizza today. But you may have to wait until you get home. Hospitals are not a a great place for human food. Although, they do make "good jello." LOL. I hope you feeling better and will be home soon.
Today should be a nice day. Can't wait until the AC get shut off and I can open windows.
Sewing and need to cut DS's backing for his (Christmas gift) quilt and off to the LAer. The ufo's keep getting in the way.
Hope everyone is having a great day,
Diane

[bGood morning!
DIANE - that is wonderful news!! So happy to hear! How is Joe doing?
LOIS - what part of Mr. Snowman are you doing today? I sure hope your part arrives soon.
FLO - I'm sorry those abx pills are hard on your tummy. I can take Keflex but in big doses, like 500mg 4x/day I'll be barfing all day long. (a parent brought whooping cough into the NICU so all the staff had to take Keflex in mega doses prophylactically). UGH. Have your drs been able to pinpoint why you keep getting these infx's?
CHRISS - it was an "upper" to hear your story about the young man. Not to minimize his doctors' skill but I've heard of many instances of amazing survival after last rites have been administered. Really sorry you didn't get a regular room with a pizza. But HOME!! The best medicine, meal, bed and roomie of all! Eat that pizza, Girl! and the hamburger! You need those calories for healing energy. My suspicion is you can eat anything you want but you will still lose "hospital weight", plus I'm betting you appetite will be reduced. Do like diabetics to - eat 6 small meals instead of 3 larger ones. Or - eat what you want, as much as you want, as often as you want. Your body will need nutrition from all the food groups to heal.
TINA - yay!! You're here!! Holly is about 29 weeks now, isn't she? I've never heard of "pudgy tummy" before. I'm curious to see what they say in two more weeks. Glad it's cooling off now. But I'm sorry about your washer. I hope it's fixable. Frankie can fix anything right??
VAL - looking to read your story today! Did you make it to Rock Springs yesterday? Your new DGGD is beautiful! And since newborn babies were my career, I'm qualified to say that with certainty!
LYN - how did your class go? I remember I was struggling with my B480 when I first bought it and didn't like it at all. But I finally took the class in learning it, and after that, all became clear and I really love my machine. Did you find what you wanted at Lyons QS?
TINA B - WOW! You really got sucked down the bathroom cleaning rabbit hole!! Even as you made my back ache reading your post, I had to admire you! Want to come visit me?? Please......
JANA - you have lots of illustrious forebears! Are you sure you want a politician in there?
Just kidding. I'd be proud, too. And I will, for sure, tell Gene today that he "attended" your anniversary party! He will think that is pretty cool. He is big into "family" whether it's his fam or yours!
LORI - glad Jack had a good night. oh, and you, too, of course.
My tech department was speculating on why to forum is up/down/up/down. He said it might not be Q but their service provider that is having the problems. He even tried to track down who that provider is, but wasn't able to. But you calling might have alerted QIAD and brought us back up again. Thanks! Gene's surgery was about 9:30 am yesterday, Alaska time. We didn't get word he was out of surgery until after 12pm, Alaska time. He went home late afternoon.
JUDI - will you have to set VC aside to do tee shirt quilts? Thanks for chatting with me yesterday about the pattern. Your trip is finally happening! I'm excited for you. Will you overnight on your way home, too? What day do you return? It will be such a nice getaway and I know it will go all too fast! We'll try to keep the forum up and running while you are gone! And I know it's hard to keep track of what is hurting on me. Because it changes every day! Yesterday was both hips. Day before it was just the left. Sometimes it's my low back. The last couple weeks it's been mid-back (a fun new thing!) about T-9 level. Not to mention itching at that T9 and around that left rib. Not sure what that's about. It's all been coming on so slowly for years and chiro and PT think it's possible that in the rear ending accident in Texas last Dec that it jerked my body just enough to bring it all to a head finally. BTW - oatmeal raisin (or Craisin) cookies are Bill's top favorite cookie. In case you ever need to know.
MARY Q - did you make it here yesterday? I'm not seeing you. What's happening in your house today?
Yesterday I played for about 30 min in my sewing room. Sit/stand/sit/walk. As long as I'm moving around I do OK for about that long, which is an improvement for me! But I'm hesitant to do much without really studying it. I was finding pattern problems where there weren't any. Though, on the flip side, I checked their corrections on line and found they are confusing. And in the pattern that wasn't listed on line. So I don't trust myself to cut fabric without really studying the pattern. I hope to start the third block today. I had a massage yesterday, and then an hour later, PT. I think both of them, in that order, really helped my mid back especially. Then a relaxing visit with our friends, and best of all, I decided to double up on my muscle relaxer. and I slept!! All night long! This morning, all my parts and pieces don't hurt quite as badly as they have been. I have steroid shot in my back on Monday. And I've told hip doctor to step it up with the surgery. Hoping to hear something from them soon.
Gene's surgery went well and he went home yesterday afternoon. The report from Terry is "all is well". She's never been very wordy. I will text him later today.
Scottie has an 8am appt for shots. Immunizations plus his monthly Librela injection for his arthritis. I will putter around the house, wash some quilts, put out a few fall things, play with my VC. Supper will be the last of the pork in some version. Today should be 80* but probably our last. We'll be in upper 60's with rain by the end of the weekend if the forecast is correct.
Have a great Friday! Enjoy the last of the warm weather!

Good morning!
All my techies here too, agree with Bill, that it's the outside server that's causing problems. Hopefully it's fixed.
Not much here. Daniel repainted my picture frames and brought them back. With kids back in school, everyone is getting sick. Daniel got sick and is doing better. He's still hiding from us, as not to share. Daniel's ne job is sounding more likely and with extremely hefty pay increase. He's already lining up a friend who is a architect to poach if and when Daniel gets this job. So today I will start filling in pictures, and removing all the old pictures on the wall, readying for the new arrangement. Also will sew on the JA center block, which is the first one. I also need to rearrange a cupboard or two, to be able to keep more food up here. It's hard getting stuff from my storage down in the Batt Cave. Mr G is wobbly on the stairs. We are waiting on chair lift. I always thought it would be my need of the lift first, but nope, was surprised at that one!
Well I'm off, need to put away the clean folded laundry I did yesterday and set up to iron some shirts.
Hugs and prayers of thanks,
Jana

Morning
Something about chemo changed my body chemistry a bit. With most people it wouldn't be noticed, but I'm allergic to all the penicillin drugs, including keflex. And the sulfur drugs my body is becoming immune to. Trying corn silk tea once a day. It's an old Chinese remedy to restore urinary tract balance. Will let you know if it works.
Diane radiation not bad, but there is a special burn cream the doc can prescribe if you start having issues. I still have mine, I use it for finger burns when cooking.
Today I'm babysitting. So it's cartoons all day and nothing much else. I may bake muffins or bread.

Good morning everyone!
We had a really nice cool evening and night and today is supposed to only get to 77° with a little chance of rain

I had a bad night too so I'm part of the no sleep club.
Lois, I've been sneezing quite a bit the last few days, I hope I'm not getting allergies too. I hope yours go away.
Chriss, I hope you get your pizza today! Hugs 🫂
Diane, I like some of the hospital food LOL there's a hospital in Cruces that Luby's cafeteria is their food and people go eat at their cafeteria that aren't in the hospital or visiting people. I read Luby's cafeteria is in quite a few hospitals now but I'm guessing not the one Chriss is in.
Judi, has it already been a year since your knee surgery? Wow that went by fast! I'm glad you're doing better now

I'd like to go where it's raining and snowing

Maryz, yep Holly is 29 weeks.... I'm pretty sure. I've never heard of pudgy tummy before either, they're afraid it will get the baby stuck during delivery so they're talking C-section if it's a problem. Her due date is November 15th but she's never gone to her due dates, usually she runs 10-14 days early. I'm glad you got some relief and that you slept good finally 🫂
We're really hoping Frankie can fix the washer with the pump I ordered because I just can't handle anymore financial troubles right now
Jana, I hope Daniel gets the new job.
Flo, have fun babysitting! It's my favorite thing to do.
My day has been put on hold waiting for UPS to do a pick up, they don't give a time so I can't go dashing or anything until they pick up.
You all have a great day!
Prayers for all in need
Tina

Good Morning Girls
Oh Gosh, I woke up this morning and for a second I couldn't remember what day of the week it was!!! It's Friday again..... already!!! I did try to get here yesterday, but just as I was about hit "submit" the site crashed and by then it was time to get to work.
Lois.... Did you get your Flamingo's all set up and ready to quilt? My blocks are still sitting on my dining room table, but I might get to them today! Maybe... We'll see how distracted I get with other projects floating around here. What do you take for your allergies? I never though I had allergies, but a little Zyrtec sure helps me breathe at night!
Chriss... Man, I hope they find a room for you today, I'm guessing they would like to get you in a regular room for a while before they send you home! Just to make sure you can pee and poo on your own! Isn't that a requirement for getting out of the hospital?

Have they set up anything for you for post-op PT? I think my DB David went through a little of that--even when he got home. (His wife is crazy--but she's a good nurse) I'll meet you at Judi's----she's a way better cook than I am!!
Diane... Did I see you have wonderful news? You got an ALL CLEAR!! Oh my gosh, you have to be over-the-moon happy about that one! I'd like to thank you for urging me to go get my mammo-- We can now be the "all Clear Sisters"!!!
Judi.... I think I've only done kits a few times, but what always worries me is messing up and not having enough of the right fabric! I have found that SOMETIMES you can find replacement pieces --like maybe FQ's on Etsy. Seems to me I had to do that with the Alaskan quilt. Here's another little hint too, don't eat chocolate chip cookies while you are doing handwork on your blocks!! I've learned that the hard way! I checked out the map of the UP---that's a long drive!! I even checked out the map from my house to you.... 11 hours!!!
Maryz.... Such wonderful news that you SLEPT through the night!! I'm so anxious for you to get that shot on Monday, sending lots of prayers that it brings you much relief!! Stop me if I've asked you this already, but when do you go back to your PMD? (I have to start writing things down!

) Good news from Gene!!! Hope he is able to go home soon and get ready for that wedding!!!
TinaR.... Good to see you pop in!! When is Holly's Due date? November? the 5th is a good day! Has she picked out names for this baby girl? Is Jaz and are the boys excited about a baby sister?
Jana... What kind of work does Daniel do? Hope it all works out for him for a new position! I've always liked having a "back up" of various food items, but in my little house there's no place to put them! Some things will keep ok in the garage, like TP and Paper Towel and cans of coffee---which is my big "stock up" item for winter! Which reminds me... I need to make a Sam's run! No Costco close to me---yet, they are building one 2 miles up the road!
Flo... Yup, it's hard to find the right antibiotic when you are allergic to them! I was a grown up when I discovered my allergy to Keflex---after a trip to the DDS---full on itchy rash all up my legs! I'm curious how that tea will work. I've rarely had a UTI, but I think, as we get older they are more common--us old folks tend to not drink as water as we should.
Yesterday I did make it out to the garage to rearrange some tote boxes so that the dishwasher can be delivered tomorrow. Not sure when Shawn will be able to take out the old one and put in the new one, he's a pretty busy guy! One of my "distraction projects"---I found a couple tote boxes full of Christmas fabric and thought "hey I could make some of those 10 minute table runners for the craft fair"

. SO I started sorting pieces and cutting pieces and pinning pieces and now I have maybe 12 of them sewn up... Today's project will be to get them all turned and ironed and then sew the ends. I'll let you know how far I get on THAT project. Oh and does anybody have a good hint to get chocolate OUT of fabric---those darn cookies!!!
Time to heat up the coffee and crank up the music. Hope it warms up here a little as I would love to open the windows! Almost turned on the furnace yesterday!! Brrrrr
Have a great day everyone
