Good morning,
Sorry I have been missing again my machine upstairs is giving me fits so I have been upstairs all week and still haven't solved a thing so it's going to be a call to grace company they are so knowledgeable of there machines so that's what I will do today.
We got a text yesterday that Billy's father in-law passed away .
So today I will call to send a basket to her mom's house and get sympathy card.
Well this is short I have to go get started Everyone have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.

Good morning,
LOIS -sorry to hear Melissa lost her father. How far away do they live from you?
LORI - your Witchy quilt is cute. Does it seem weird to be sewing Halloween stuff and have to turn on the A/C? And yep, my Bill is pretty handy. He can build stuff - like our 24x36 foot shop - repair almost anything, assemble a computer from parts and pieces, and bravely take on a ready-made family with 3 teenagers. But he cannot scramble an egg. When I have my hip surgeries, I plan to freeze several meals ahead of time.
CHRISS - do you have another dr appt on the calendar or are you just still waiting to hear? Your zucchini rounds with pasta sauce on top don't sound too bad, except for the zucchini part.
Have you tried making eggplant parmesan? I've made it a few times. Not wonderful (at least mine wasn't) but it was OK. I browned thin egg plant slices in olive oil, then proceeded as if it were chicken. My question is, my recipe calls for mozzarella cheese on top. But it's called egg plant parmesan. I love my coffee in the mornings. But I don't drink a lot - 1 cup and I pour a second but don't usually drink it all. And I like my coffee with powdered Coffeemate in it.
LYN - welcome back to the USA!! I pray the rain stops and all your travels go well today. Thank you for posting Diane's photo.
JUDI - sounds like that party place was awesome for kids and adults! And now you have an awesome 3 yr old!! You have your honeycombs all prepped and ready to sew. Nice! I got 50 white pods prepped yesterday. I need to iron them all today. That is a grand total of 90 made. 185 left to go. Sigh.
DIANE - what a great picture! of the quilt and of you! Hope you are feeling OK>
MARY Q - nice to know someone else's house is looking like ours - we have little Scottie and Foxy puffs everywhere. I pick them up when I see them. At least they shed in puffs and not individual hairs. So have you decided if you are going to replace your dishwasher or keep washing by hand? Or are you waiting to see prices come Labor Day sales to decide? If you go shopping, that third top rack for large utensils, lids, etc that the new dishwashers have now is a great feature - just sayin'.
JANA - what a thoughtful gift your family gave you! We need a picture of that!
VAL - glad those new mattresses arrived and are set up. Now if you could just get some good word on your pick-up! I hope your hubby is right about it coming back to you this week. As to your CW question: When I looked more closely at Judi's pattern and mine for the white pods, I see we're doing it differently - Here is a tutorial that shows the method I used. There are a lot of ads in it - sorry about that. https://www.handmadiya.com/2022/01/cath ... orial.html This is exactly how I made mine. I used a bit of glue stick to hold the colored squares in place while I hand stitched them down.
So, yesterday I prepped 50 white CW pods. I'll press them today. Not sure what else I'll be doing. Bill has the QOV about 1/3 quilted. He makes 2 or 3 LA passes a day so it's going to be a few more days before he finishes it. I have the binding and label all ready when he does. I also have 4 sets of Lotto and Swap blocks that need to be assembled. But I think I'll just check them out, pull some fabrics for sashing and borders, and bag them all to take to TX. It will be time to start packing the trailer soon.
I'm still waiting for my doctor's office to call with arrangements for the steroid shot in my back. I've left two messages so far. It's been 19 days since my orthopedic appt. We're set to leave in 26 days. If I don't hear from them this morning, I'll leave another message again this afternoon. Frustrating.
Last night my younger sister's step-daughter from her first marriage was here visiting Lee & Lara. It was so good to see her again, and meet her husband. She was only about 6 yrs old last time I saw her and now she's 53. LOTS of catching up to do! So happy hour was filled with lots of HH snacks. They didn't leave until 8pm so we skipped supper. Tonite will finally be those pierogis with alfredo sauce.
I hope we all get to fondle some fabric today!
