CHRISS!! Happy Birthday Girlfriend!! I hope your day today is filled with cake, ice cream, and wishes come true!
LORI - I looked up the luxury "Paws Up" lodge where your niece is working. OMG! I wanna go! I think we all should go there and meet up and have a sew-in right out in the middle of the pine trees! It's on the beautiful Blackfoot River. Bill's brother lived on the Blackfoot. I always loved visiting him. Tell your niece congratulations! With this job she will always be on vacation! And she has her beautiful little Aussie! One of my favorite breeds. (though they are ALL my favorite breeds!)
MARY Q - oh, the kids did inform Bill he can buy a lot of accessories for his new stove! Now, though, we have one more BIG thing to carry when we travel. The stove we have now has 2 burners, and a griddle, or a BBQ can be set on the burners so all kinds of cooking can be done on it. But this new stove is just a griddle. Is it pencil case season again already?? You will make about 100? How many do you have done so far? Did you get your sewing machine in St. Cloud? And did you find any other things to do there as long as you were making the trip? Groceries? thrift? Fabric? Cemetery hopping?
JANA - glad the SS is all straightened out. I'm anxious to hear when Karlie gets her kitten(s). You know, a whole batch would be fun entertainment. Once again, you've resurrected a memory of my childhood! When I was pretty little we had a litter of 5 kitten. Every evening as we were finishing dinner the kittens would wake up and and start to play in the bottom of a shelving unit Mom had in the dining room. We all sat around the table watching the kitten show for at least 20 minutes. They were so much fun! Better than TV for sure! And while the kittens are all long gone, that shelf is now in my sewing room, stuffed full of fabric! Ironically, much of that bottom shelf is kitten/cat themed fabric!
FLO - I hope Joe gets the care he needs and deserves for all his parts and pieces! And also I hope the roof is done! And the rains have moved in another direction for now. Was this a full new roof or just storm damage repairs?
LOIS - And your poor Bill. My sis is prone to gout and when it hits she has a terrible time and has to use a cane. I hope Bill is feeling better soon.
JUDI - Not too many days left until you leave on your vacation! Sat, July 5th? Have you got your packing/unpacking/repacking done yet or is there still more unpacking/repacking to do?
VAL - have you started to think about your packing yet? I've done a little, but then I'm packing an RV for four months. I will have to pack clothes for 4 seasons.
Yesterday I finished quilting and binding Drew's 6 placemats. They turned out really neat. I will post a picture later this morning. I still have quite a bit of fabric left so I think I'll make a runner for his coffee table. His parents said they will measure it next time they go pick up their mail. Then I was off to the dentist and I survived! BP was about 124/76 when I left home. It was 155/86 (with my cuff) when I got there 15 minutes later. 164/84 with their wrist cuff. So we proceeded. Dr said in anticipation of my appointment he put fresh batteries in his defibrillator! haha! He is so funny! I go back in 2 weeks to have new crown set. But I zigged at the wrong time and my tongue got in the way so I have a nice little painful scrape, and my tongue is all black/blue. I've never had a bruised tongue before. It kind of shocked me when I looked in the mirror this morning.
In the afternoon we went to Crazy Costco. Never seen it so busy even at Christmas. Found a little green Unicorn dress for You Know Who that we couldn't resist. And I circled back to her baby clothes quilt. Hoping to get that big block of her ruffled backside made today. I also have an 11am appointment to get a heart monitor. Ugh. For two weeks. As for our supper, my tongue is quite sore so I'm making a pot chicken rice soup. We'll have toast or English muffin to go with.
Yikes! Got to run. I Meet Across The Road Lori at 7 to walk! I'm gonna be late!
