Good morning,
We are suppose to be warm today I have wash going bed made I have some cleaning that needs my attention so today that will be it.
I want to sew but I have to clean and that's the bottom line.
Judi I miss a garden but it's to much work and we don't want to invest the time besides everything seems to be ready at the same time and not enough people to give them to.
Well that's all the news from here.
Have a great day.
Prayers to all.
Lois

Good morning,
JUDI - I'll be joining you on the cleaning wagon today. I got all of upstairs done yesterday. Today I'll do the downstairs - our bed/bath plus fam room. And we also have a big load to go to the Goodwill. But I'm good on windows - other than the slider. it could probably use a touch up, thanks to Naughty Scottie.
LOIS - I don't usually make our bed because when I get up there's almost always a big lump still in it, so the lump makes it. And the laundry is done. But there's still enough dust and dog & cat hair to keep me busy for a bit. You and JUDI and I can be cleaning triplets!
CHRISS - Happy microwave! I've been happy with mine over the stove. I didn't like giving it so much counter space. If I remember right venting it was the hardest part of installation. I have a lot of dusting to do downstairs today. Unfortunately I can't just move the furniture out of the sun rays like some people can. I have to do the work. But I'll be thinking of you every moment. I love hanging my clothes on the line. And especially fabric. It almost irons itself, flapping in the breeze. Why can't your undies and sox go on the clothesline?
JANA - turns out my kids were at Dizzyland the same time yours were! I just didn't know it until I saw it on Facebook. Thanks for the update on Stu. I hope he likes his roommate's sister. That's how a lot of matches happen - the sister or brother of best friends. It happened in our family.
LORI - you gave me a good idea about baby clothes quilts. So I Googled quilts made with baby clothes and immediately found one I'd like to do. Thanks! I have a couple of small patterns for wool projects that are in the "go away" box. Should I send them your way or to the donation box? That tiny painting your mom did is so special! I'm glad you are going to find it a place of honor.
Mary Q - I made a special scrapbook from old pictures for each of my siblings and my kids and I've done books for special things. But scrapbooks take up a lot of space. All the rest of our photos I've put in Photo boxes, but I have them sorted and labeled and they are all shelved on the big shelving unit in our office. If we're going to be gone for more than a few days - like winter in Texas, I put a wooden spoon in my dishwasher door to allow air to flow. We went away once when it was still moist inside and came home to a lot of mold! I had to run it empty a few times with vinegar to get it clean again. Ugh. I wonder why your DW stopped mid cycle. Glad you have the option of calling the repairman back with no extra house call fee. So, have you been doing any frogging??
VALERIE - You've got a lot of quilts in various stages. Do you keep them packed up except for the one you're working on any particular day? My favorite part of quilting is pulling fabrics for a new project and then making the blocks. Putting them together is #3 on my list. Quilting is a solid last. I've never regretted getting our LA. It's paid for itself many times over. Mail takes a lot longer now than it used to, so your blocks may not arrive until the end of the week. Sorry you have another QS going down. I understand not taking advantage of closing sales, I haven't even gone to any of Joann's sales. There is nothing I need so I don't go tempt myself.
Yesterday I got the binding on Star Silhouettes. Today I might make a label for it and for the other 4 left in the QQ (Quilting Queue). I can do alphabets on my Bernie, but not fancy ones. For some reason my machine has 3 different fonts, upper and lower case, and the Cyrillic alphabet. I don't use that but maybe I should to give my descendants, who I know will treasure all my quilts, a mystery to solve. Today, I'll also clean the downstairs, pack up the Goodwill boxes, and maybe do a wee bit of gardening. I've decided to call it gardening instead of yard WORK. Makes it seem like more of a healthy hobby rather than a chore always hanging over my head. That being said, my dental hygienist does yard work on the side and he came by last night to check out our yard and all our tools. He's going to start helping me out next month. In other news, our kids' household goods are going to arrive from Virginia today. Not sure if we're going to get a "POD" or palletized boxes, or ??? It's all going into our shop. They will eventually move it all to a storage unit but for now, it will be safe and dry. The kids (Lee & Lara) will arrive on/around next Saturday. And I just remembered I have an acupuncture appointment this afternoon so maybe my new hobby - gardening - will get put on the back burner.
Hamburgers tonite!
Have a delightful day!

Good morning!
Hazy day. Humm, isn't there a song about the lazy, hazy days of summer? Well, it's not officially summer yet, but I can sure do lazy!
Not much here. Daniel's home from California but still needs a run back to get his new toy. It's all loaded on his trailer, but Sandee's truck broke, before he went, so he took his jeep. Didn't want to haul this heavy load back over Donner with the jeep. So will head back down again, after the truck is fixed. Sandee's truck is going to the shop on Friday. The truck has had a issue with a unknown parasitic drain on the electrical system, that Daniel hasn't been able to find and this caused other issues, so off to the shop.
Heading down to the happy place, the Batt Cave in a few minutes. Kind of spinning my wheels down there. Not getting the progress I was hoping for, but still keep trying. There's a road block that lives in this house!
Hugs,
Jana

Good Rainy Morning
88* yesterday, 67* today..... Welcome to Minnesota!!
Judi....Hope you can sneak in a little time to play with your new machine--maybe set a timer for an hour and go play... then go back to housework?
Lois... Same rule for you... set a timer for an hour and go sew--the house work will always be there when the hour is up!
Maryz... Yes, I see frogging in my future! Good idea to prop open the d/w when I'm gone--might keep it from getting stinky! These new dishwashers don't dry dishes anymore so it stays wet inside for a long time. Why do sewing machines have the Cyrillic alphabet!! My Elna has that too! Sounds like you are ready for L & L to arrive? Is their RV at your house or will you go pick that up after they arrive.
Jana..... Is your haze maybe from the fires in Canada? I got an air quality warning on my Alexas this morning.
Lori.... Are your Dad's slides all in those round carousels? Or the skinny boxes? We found so many of those after my Dad passed. I took the skinny boxes and decorated them with felt and beads and lace and gave them to all my siblings (they wanted to just throw them away). The round carousels I decorated and make Christmas decorations out of them with pine and flower picks. The middle of them will hold a small pillar candle. I think I have one in my stuff in the garage! So there's an idea for your next craft project!
Chriss...That's good news isn't it? That nothing shows up on the echo? Your Dad is going to help you with the micro right? I don't use mine a lot, but it's handy to have it above the stove and not taking up space on the counter.
No real plan for the day. This afternoon the gal that I made all the pencil cases for is stopping by ---she has a little sewing project she needs help with and insists on paying me! She's bringing me some coffee beans from the Honduras, where she goes on mission trips.
So I better go tidy up before she comes--lots of little things out of place!
Wishing you joy in your day!

Good morning. It is a beautiful day today, we should see the high 80's, low 90's.
Today is already turning out to be wonderful. Laundry is done and hanging on the line. Parents will be here this morning and dad will install my microwave, and I take stepmom to get her hair done. On the way home I will pick up some sandwiches for a late lunch, early dinner and have a meal with my parents. It's just a great start to a great day. Especially when just a couple of weeks ago I was very concerned about my health, things have improved greatly.
Judi, Hope those tomato plants produce tons of tomatoes. I have 5 regular tomato plants and two cherry. Each plant has at least one tomato and one plant has a tomato turning pinkish heading towards red. That one will be chilled, cut up and I'll add a little cheese and tomato, yum! Happy clothes shopping.
Lois, I agree about things being ready at the same time in a garden. I planted things at different times hoping I will have things through the summer. Fingers crossed. I will join you in a little housework this morning. I just need to do that stinking dusting.
Maryz, nice to have help with the yard gardening. My so called yard can be overwhelming at times. I have almost convinced my self to start hiring out the weed eating. We will see how I feel next year. Hope the kids things arrive and fit nicely into the spot you have reserved for them.
Jana, ugh, those road blocks. Mine is more of a speed bump and has 4 paws. Not sure what I would do without him. Go play in your cave, something will strike your attention and you will have a fun day.
Maryq, Yes, dad will install my microwave. When my microwave died I bought a decent sized toaster oven/air fryer/broiler thing at Costco. I do miss my microwave and see how I would use both. Treasure those coffee beans, I just paid $17 for a big can of folgers at Costco
I need a quick breakfast and to go see if my laundry is done on the line. I will dust and clear off any kitchen counters dad might need so he has plenty of room to work. When the parents go home I will package up the hamburger and rotisserie chicken I bought at Costco.
I never did make that hamburger yesterday so I will definitely cook up the meat today, probably use it in a taco salad tomorrow.
You girls have a marvelous day.
Chriss

Chriss, glad you are feeling better about your health. It's a nice break for your dad when you take your mom out while he works, and it's a win you for too. I could live without a microwave, but Bill likes it. You get things done around the house. The mystery was over in one afternoon. It's just one large block with a border.
Maryq, there are both carousels and boxes. I haven't even got them down yet. I want the house done before I tackle the rafters in the garage. There's stuff up there from the 70"s. Our weather is the same. 3 days of hot I was wearing shorts, and today I have on jeans and light jacket. Mother nature is laughing.
Jana, have a fun day in the cave.
Maryz, I was video of a lady that takes baby clothes and sews them down as they are onto fabric. She cuts parts away to make it look nice. If I see it again, I'll send it to you.
Lois, you don't have to clean, you could just go sew and do it another day.
Judi, I might do some window today since it's overcast. It's not going to rain here for month. Bill always decides to purge his closet right after I take things to the Goodwill.
Well to day is Mr. Wrigley's birthday. I gave him a new chewy bone and a stuffed toys. He walked with Jack and me today. Bill out playing golf. I really need to dust today. Then I'm going to sew something fun. Maybe that will put me back in the mood. I did buy some things on QIAD today. They had all kinds of things on sale. So I got some gifts for friends, and a few things for me. I think we are going out for lunch today. We haven't been in a few weeks and I don't feel like cooking.
Have a lovely day.
