Good morning I was up at 7 slept in this morning,,,Now i have a load of laundry running and a jump start on the day,,,If i dont get it going as soon as my feet hit the floor it doesnt get done.
Well ken talked me into a new machine,,,I stalled all day and finally went to see my friend at the quilt shop. My new Bernina 570QE will be here tuesday, She didnt have one in stock but thats ok..I can finish up the borders that are already started on the old machine, My HV designer II is going ,,,the screen is only half lit and it is difficult to adjust the stitches you cannot see in the screen, After several phone calls it has been determined that they dont make any parts for this michine and it is basically toast,,, I am very attached to this machine and it is like losing an old friend, over 30 years of sewing on it,,,my next chore is gathering up all the stuff that goes to this machine scattered all over my sewing table. I have so many feet that go with this machine that as far as I can see will not fit the Bernie,,,some I will give to my sister as sh has a singer and these are universal feet , She will never use them but at least they will be in a good place. The D-card wont work any more since the screen is bad, (D-cards are computer chips that change the function of the machine) I have letters and diagonal sewing card for quilting among other decorative stitches) , If anyone out there has a Designer 2 that still works I would be happy to send them off to you.
We have a Birthday party and engagement party for the grandaughter and her fiance this afternoon. so we will have a late lunch early dinner today, that mean not much will get done here,,,but Im ok with it,,,
