I slept well - yay for me! I only woke twice and went right back to sleep. 7-1/2 hrs. I'm going to put a star on the calendar.
It's supposed to rain today so I'll be inside, doing laundry and hanging in my sewing room. I have my third crazy border almost finished. I plan to finish it and get started on the fourth. Then it will be time to start attaching borders to the quilt with mitered corners. Whew! I'm so ready to be done with this project! 'Cuz I counted - I have 13 UFO's and 2 WIP. Not to mention quilts in the planning stage that I haven't even started yet. I don't need just a mini-me, I need a whole squadron of Minions! But thinking about it, 2 of my UFO's are quilts that have been sitting in the Quilting Queue for some months now. Shouldn't they count as Bill's UFO's instead of mine??
LORI - I'm a morning person - even as a kid and a teen. If I get up at 0500 I feel like I'm late! But by 3pm, I'm done. It's time to sit down and relax, and I'm in bed by 8:30 to 9. Do you have a wall where you can display all your mini quilts? My younger sister's SIL quilts and all she makes is mini's. How special to find cards from your grandparents' wedding!
JUDI - Happy Anniversary! I read once of a long-married woman's advice to marriage. You give him 10 "things" before you decide to kill him. And every time he commits one of those "things", you say, "That's #1. . . " It's always #1. You got a lot of things accomplished yesterday. Do you always work out a week's menu and then shop? I've tried that a few times but it seems nothing ever goes according to plan.
JANA - you got a reprieve from your dental surgery, but this isn't the way you want to do it! So now are you taking your BP every day, and recording it, until your dr appt? Because that's probably what your dr will direct you to do. I have to say - like Judi - Mine goes up just driving by the office. I think I have a crown replacement in my near future.

MARY Q - I loved your photos! I remember all those quilts now. Nice to have them done! I only had time to glance at them yesterday. I need to go back and really look at them today. I think that Live, laugh, love quilt would make an ideal graduation present - or even a wedding quilt. When I have extra quilts from lottos, swaps, etc, I take them to the nursing home at Christmas for residents who have no families to bring them a gift. Believe me, they are grateful!
CHRISS - we are twins this week - appointments, yardwork, sewing. It's so nice of you to go clean your parents' house. I know how much they appreciate you! I did that, too, when I still had my parents, but not as much as I should have. Yes, being a baby parent is much different now. No real food until 6 or 9 months old. I think avocado was one of Amara's first foods, too. I do remember it was green. And peanut allergies have become such a 'thing' that the first time they gave Amara peanut butter, they did it in the ER parking lot! So Daddy got in the back seat next to her ready for quick action if she reacted while Mama gave her the peanut butter. And she started screaming and was definitely distressed! Autumn started to panic and was getting ready to grab and run for the ER doors. They finally realized Daddy was wearing a hat. She'd never seen him in a hat before and it scared her.

VAL - When you post on the wrong thread, and have the time, you can always go to 'edit', highlight your entire post, cut, go to the correct thread, and paste it there. You probably know that but had to scurry off to your class. I'm glad to hear you were able to get back to your MC project. You must wear a cape to be able to work on so many projects at one time. I can't do that. Maybe because I have no place to put projects aside while I work on others. And also because I get focused on one thing and can't let go of it until it's finished.
LOIS - your baby quilt sounds adorable. Next time I'm in my sewing room, if I can think of it, I'll shoot you a photo of the pattern I have. They do sound similar.
LYN - How did Day 1 at the Service Center go? You have your vehicle so you can go places. Quilt shops? Fishing shops? Lunch? Don't you have relatives in the area to visit, too? Let me know if you want the paperback book I mentioned. I have it set aside for you.
Yesterday was kind of chilly and gloomy. Today might be 60* but cloudy and breezy. An indoor day. With indoor chores. I have at least 4 loads of clothes to do. I'm saving the "big stuff" like vacuuming, bathrooms, mopping until I have my NYB ready for quilting - and that should be by the end of the week. Then I'm going to have to whip my LA'er into action.
I veered from my planned menu yesterday and made split pea soup for supper. But it was a little thin, so I tossed in a cup of leftover cooked rice. Still thin so I added a handful of macaroni. Then it was too thick! But tasty. I thought. The 'peanut gallery' was very quiet and gave me no comments.

Happy bobbin emptying!
