April 18th Good friday
Good morning I am up dressed and headed back to the grocery store...I have a couple of things to pick up for Easter dinner at my sons house. then I will clean the living room (read..dust everything) and dust mop the floors. then I will go down to the man cave and try to get up some of the sawdust,,,Ken has been good about keeping the wood cutting in the bar corner,,he uses a shop vac , to catch as much as he can...
I will get that done and bake some cookies ( chocolate chip was ordered) and prep supper.Tonight will be rather quiet my show has finished for the season and so has hockey for the Red Wings, I will download a new book maybe and that will be my sewing back round,,,
Hope you are all blessed with Easter Joy this weekend,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning
Jana, Aaron always has the stories. I hope he is OK after all his incidents. God bless him.
Judi, I remember the first time you made that Quilt. I even have the pattern I think or at least part of the pattern. I never tackled it though. It was very pretty. Where did that first Quilt go? We are having homemade pizza for Easter dinner with the grandsons, their request. So I might have to do a little shopping too. I’m thinking of making four smaller pizzas instead of one or two big ones and trying different types. Veggie, cheeseburger, pepperoni, and margarita or barbecue chicken. We have ice cream bars for dessert but now I’ve got a hankering for peach cobbler after talk of it here.
Lori, I hope that water got shut off before your yard flooded.
Chriss, springtime is full of lots of busy chores. Sewing will wait. When do you see Eliott next?
Mary Q, did you get the borders on the baby quilt? Like Chriss said, if I’m an appetizer is always a good contribution if you know dinner is already complete. Or a bottle of wine.
We are leaving for home as soon as it gets light. Bill needs to hitch up and that is hard to do in the dark but pretty much otherwise we are ready. Home is about 200 miles. I will spend my afternoon emptying the trailer and cleaning. Laundry. Same thing Valerie is probably doing right now with her rig. It should be 70° at home so we will have a nice evening on our deck and reheat leftover lasagna and garlic bread for supper.
Y’all have a good day. Tomorrow I plan to finish those last two NYB blocks come hell or high water.

Morning
Cake I baked was lemon with fudge frosting. Cookies were sugar, Easter cut outs, &Italian knots, Anginetti.
Today we have our friends 5 kids for the day, school closed for day. DDIL will bring DGD over, plus Joe staying home. We have egg hunt, cookie decorating & movies planned. Movies are original Space Jam & the new Mufassa movie. Also found a stash of water pistols in barn...I may survive except coffee maker died! Dug out my stove top Corelle pot. Later Joe will dig thru barn for coffee maker for rv.
Pray we survive

Flo, what a day you have planned! But sounds like you are very prepared and the kids will have a very good time. But my suggestion is you get a big box of Calgon and keep it handy! And don’t forget, you can always make coffee in a sauce pan. Just strain the grounds out emergency conditions call for emergency measures!

Re: April 18th Good friday
Good morning everyone.
Yesterday was busy and I didn't have time to post.
MaryQ, The boat that needed to be titled is the Lund boat that's in Canada.
Chriss, What brand of weed eater did you get? I really like my EGO stuff and can use the batteries from one piece of equipment to another.
MaryZ, Safe travels home.
I was up early yesterday and moved stuff out of the way in what's been my office/sewing room, so we could get my desk and 2 drawer file cabinet in there. The floor guy came and installed the transition piece at the Cabin door, it had to be special ordered. Then friends, Bob and Carol showed up and helped me unload the furniture into the Cabin. It was a hot day, so we took a beer break before getting the office furniture in the house. Last was loading my HQS16 into the trailer and taking it to the Cabin and unloading. I have some fabric and my ironing board that will get moved after I get things arranged in the Cabin.
The Sewing Cabin is Done! Wednesday they got the skirting on, made steps and installed a storm door. The guy will come back in a couple weeks, after wood drys, and paint step stringers and railing white.
I don't know how much arranging will get done before we leave next week. I better get busy with today's list of Do's.
Hope y'all have a good day.
Lyn

Good morning!
Ever wonder why the Easter bunny dyes the eggs different colors? Well I do, it's to be able to find them in the SNOW! Overnight, Mother Nature deposited about 6 inches on us! The proverbial they said, we may get a inch, NOT!
I have Ethan up and getting ready to go to his cello private lesson in a few minutes. Then we're back home and done. Sarah left earlier for California. Ethan and us are on chicken, cat duty now, till Sarah's home on Easter.
So today pre-dinner prep is leaves in table and assemble a noble cheesecake. It's really a simple recipe, crust,, I'm using Nilla wafers, cream cheese,, whipping cream,, lemon juice and a bit of sour cream.. it wants a long time to set up and suggested a Overnight, so it will get that and a bit more. My chicken cheesy enchilada soup was very yummy last night.
Aaron is fine. All dried off. Both different drivers that were injured, in critical condition, have survived. The truck driver was uninjured. He wasn't at fault in the second accident, the other driver turned left, right in front of the semi. The lake water accident, the officers estimate that driver was doing at least 80 on this side community street. I have driven numerous times on that street and it's very narrow. It's a wonderful how that driver got that fast!
Time to head to cello,
Hugs,
Jana

Re: April 18th Good friday
Good Morning Girls
Gosh, here it is Friday already! I remember thinking that Easter is so late this year and here we are!! It's Good Friday!!
Judi... If you are looking for a new book, check out anything written by Kristen Hannah or Lisa Wingate! I've read a lot of both of them. My favorite by Lisa Wingate is "The Prayer Box" I have the Libby app on my phone and IPad, but it often very hard to get some of the newest books and authors on there. Doesn't that sawdust dust go EVERYWHERE!! I think it gets sucked into the air ducts and blown all through the house! I did look up some NO Knead recipes!! And I bought some yeast yesterday when I got groceries... I just might give it a try.
Maryz... Borders on the baby quilt will get done today. After the several stops I had out running errands yesterday I just couldn't face the sewing machine, I was exhausted! I wish you all could see this fabric warehouse. I found backing fabrics I needed, but could have easily spent 1/2 of my retirement funds on gorgeous fabric. As I type this you are probably on you way back home so I'll wish you safe travels.
Flo... Oh my gosh, you will definitely need some coffee for day you have planned. You must really love to bake!! Not my thing, except at Christmas. How fun to find water pistols! I was thinking for Easter at Sara's folks, I'd bring some bubbles--there's lot of little kids there!
Lois... Now that your house is all done... you wanna come help me with mine?
I have this big huge closet I'd so LOVE to complete revamp!
Lyn... OH duh!! You don't have to have the boat "in hand" to get it titled... Silly me! I'm sure you have all new fun stickers to attach to your boat when you get there. If your trip to Canada allows for a "layover" in MN let me know! LOVE LOVE LOVE your cabin!!!!
Jana.... A few years ago, one of my old neighbors invited me to a little sort of Sunrise service outside at their home for Easter Sunday morning. One of those plans that God laughs at. It started snowing during the night and by end of day we have about 12" or more! Hence no outdoor Easter Service! Only comfort is that your snow will melt pretty fast!
Chriss... When you get a minute can you share your crockpot granola recipe? Katie made me some a while back and it was delicious--tho I don't know if hers was crockpot. I love it sprinkled on yogurt and fruit. I did think of deviled eggs to take to dinner, but Sara listed that off as one of the things they have.
So I'm going to back my cheese bread and maybe bring some Pickle Roll-ups.
So yes, I did make it to the fabric warehouse yesterday. Found a new backing piece for the Alaska quilt, backing for the wedding quilt and backing for the baby girl quilt. I was a pretty good girl and only bought what I needed. Was able to get the backing for the Alaska quilt washed and pieced and ready for Evie to take down to Wisconsin today. On my to-do list today is finish baby girl quilt, and IF I have enough batting maybe pin it.
But first I need more coffee...
Wishing you all the very best today

Re: April 18th Good friday
Maryq, good for you only buying what you needed. For me that's a rare occasion.
Jana, Aaron was just in the right place at the right time. Glad he was able to get the person out of the vehicle. We live on a short street and I'm amazed how fast people can drive on it.
Lyn, I bet you are glad to get the sewing shed finished. It looks like a really nice place to sew.
I remember you talking about the sunflower quilt. I have the big ruler and have never used it. It was a gift.
Flo, sounds like you are gearing up for a nice time with the family.
Maryz, the water stopped flowing late in the afternoon. It flooded about 3/4 of the lawn but has subsided this morning. It's not the first time we've had flooding from that house. A few years ago they left the hose on in the pool while they were gone. That was really bad. The other neighbor jumped the fence and turned it off. You're probably almost home by now. You Easter dinner sounds like a good one. I have made homemade pizza in a long time.
Judi, I think I'm going to make some oatmeal, chocolate chip, cherry, pecan cookies today. I started listening to a new book last night while I sewed down binding.
I finished up the patriotic quilt last night. I need to get a label on it an it will be done. I'm finding that the garden tools at my parents house are falling apart. I'll need to get a few things at Ace or Home Depot next week. I don't want to get near that store over the next few days. It will be pack with people starting their spring clean up and planting. I might vacuum this morning and then I might not. I have no plans. Jack already took me out for a walk. Weather is very cool for this time of year, but should warm up over the weekend.
Have a lovely day.
