Good morning,
I have been up since 3 I couldn't sleep I fell asleep at 8.
The dinning room is done just have to change out the curtains not washing windows till it gets warmer.
Today is some wash but that's about it I might take a trip to the store and see what they have I want 2 pole lamps for the living room so we shall see If Bill wants to do that.
Other than that there is nothing new to report here.
Safe travels to all who are traveling.
Have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.
Lois

Good morning Lois I was up at 530 Sorry you couldnt sleep but if I go to bed early I also will be up early...It will be a nap day for you...
I will try to start painting today,,,It is a super small area (Back door landingand stair wall) But a lot of white trim. I will be glad to get it cleaned up. It takes a lot of wear and tear as Ken and Liam are constantly going up and down the stairs for stuff, Once the bar is done we should be able to call it complete,
I will still try to make time to work on my quilt...It was very satifying to sit at the machine last evening and work on the blocks...after reading the directions again I found i need to make 6 tiny yoyos which are flower centers,,,so I will try to do that today too...
Supper is up in the air I might make fish or burgers,,,Ken has asked for beer battered cod which his dad used to make so I will see if that can be done...
Hope you all have a great dayXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Good morning!
Lois, yay for finishing the last room! Are you having a crowd for Easter?
Judi, your machine missed you, too, I bet! Once prep work is done, the painting will go fast. Is the stairway the only access Ken has to working on bar project? Will he be carrying lumber, tools, etc on that stairway? Maybe you should wait until he finishes his project. Hate to see your fresh paint marred by anything.
Tina, happy anniversary! 40 yrs is a long time to put up with one old coot! My coot and I are 7 yrs behind you.
Lyn, are you all moved into your cabin now? 90’s are too hot for this PNW gal!
Lori, i hope all goes well with Dad’s estate. We have everything in a revocable trust. Our elder law attorney assures us this makes everything much easier. Hope he’s right.
Chriss, you must be almost done with all those chores soon!
Diane, happy bd to Joe. He’s 3 weeks younger than I am. Have a great trip!
Mary Q, thank you for having enough interest in our camping trip to look up where we are. And I’m sure Oceanside is a nice town. But we are in Seaside.
. We took a drive thru town yesterday. Walk to wall tourists, and solid gift and ice cream shops. No quilt shops! Though there is one in Cannon Beach, next town down the coast.
Anyone know when Val returns from her fishing trip?
Yesterday tex & Bill did some guy shopping and dropped me at Goodwill. I found 1 pr black knit pants and 2 summer tops and a brand new purse. Two items were 50% off. Score! Today is supposed to be sunny and nearly 70* so we are going to the beach. I think B’s hip is improving. He does exercises for it twice a day. And he took a long nap yesterday so I sewed on one of my three NYB blocks while he slept. Got it abt 3/4 done. Maybe I’ll finish it today. Then only 2 blocks left!
Tonite we plan to grill chicken, have Rice-Roni, and salad.
I wish everyone full bobbins and sharp needles today!

Good morning!
What a surprise we got on Saturday! Daniel came in with a box, addressed to us here. It wasn't a Amazon, so it caused a bit of wonder, as I had nothing ordered. At first before I saw the address, I thought the postman left it at the wrong door, nope, it was for here. Opened the box, peeked inside and saw a quilt. Also then saw the return address and thought of how special y'all are here to think of Michael and that it was the perfect graduation present for him. So I stopped and let him finish opening the surprise box. He was awe struck, that he got a quilt from y'all! Took it out, and said, two quilts? So then I looked closer, oh my, one for me too! Y'all are just too wonderful for words! These quilts are beautiful! Michael says thank you, it is such a moral booster to him. To realize the love and service given to him. Now me, I was in tears! You have warmed my heart, and the rest of me too! Thank you so very much. These gifts will be treasured and used often! Thank you so much again! I will add pictures later, especially of Michael, enjoying his nap 7nder his quilt. He's good at that!
This morning is the wrap up appointment for PT. They've given him several sites to watch on YouTube for exercises and he'll do those here at home. What will become of my day, now that PT doesn't take a chunk out of it? Humm, bail money? Nah,, my cohort in crime is working, I guess I'll behave.
Tomorrow our BIL will be here for a short visit. It will be good to see him.. I'll fix up some enchiladas, rice and beans,, either for lunch or dinner.. it will be all done ahead. BIL isn't driving anymore, so we'll see when he needs a ride back across the valley where his brother lives.. plenty of our kids that are willing to drive their favorite uncle around.. This uncle has always been favorite and my boys all worked for him learning concrete and pool repair. My Tanner is named after him too, Tanner James.
So uglies need to be done, company coming and then I can play in the Batt Cave.
Thank you again, so much,
Hugs,
Jana

Re: Monday April 14,2025
Today's high is to be 96°.
Yesterday's plans....God laughed. It was windy and as I walked out the back door with Minnie, the neighbor on the south side saw me and told me the wood fence between my house and chain link on property line was falling down. So, I spent the day on the fence and removing big dead bushes by the chain link fence. It was 90° but with the wind, it wasn't too hot. I had to remove the one section, posts had rotted off. It's now alongside the front porch, until we decide if we put in new posts or have chain link like the rest of the fencing. So while I had the opening, I decided to remove those bushes that died last summer. They were about 8' tall. I used my new mini chain saw and they had rotted at the roots, so easy to remove. There's now a pile in the front yard. I will use the tractor to haul them to our empty lot and add to a pile of old branches. I used a big metal T post to stabilize the end of the wood fence. Then I put some sections of Minnie's fence up to close the space, but there only 3' high and I need to keep the deer out. So, on top I stretched 24" black heavy mesh plastic stuff and secured it to the wood and chain link. It's almost as high as wood fence, so I hope it keeps the deer out. Since I had my little chain saw out, I also trimmed some of the bushes growing through the fence from the neighbors bushes. It all needed to be done and now I just need to move the old bushes before we leave.
Judi, I'm with MaryZ, if Ken's going up and down with lumber and tools maybe you should wait until the bar is done.
Today I will finish the boat paperwork and hopefully work on the Cabin. I got a text yesterday from the guy that's putting the skirting on and building the steps, he will do that Wednesday. It will be a busy week.
Have a good day everyone.
Lyn

Good morning everyone
Thank you all, we had a nice anniversary day yesterday, we had to stay inside because of the wind and then we ate at Denny's, it and IHOP were the only places open except fast food, Dad ate with us.
Judi, I was wondering the same thing about your painting job.... maybe you should wait till the bar is finished?
Maryz, sounds like fun but I'm not a touristy person I prefer less people
Lois, I hope you get a little nap in today.
Jana, so glad they made it
they released me from my PT Friday, I'm glad because it does take up a bunch of my time. I do more at home than at PT anyways and I'll continue to do so. I'm glad your BIL has drivers that love him so he still gets to visit, very cool.
Lyn, yesterday you did too much! I think today should be a rest day. I'm really looking forward to seeing your cabin all moved in too.
Yesterday was a windy day so today will be a cleaning day for me, hopefully Frankie will help.
I hope you all have a great day!
Prayers for all in need
Tina

Re: Monday April 14,2025
Good morning. It's going to be a wonderful day today. There is a mocking bird out there that sings to me daily, I love him.
I just heard the elementary school kids (k-8) say the pledge of allegiance. I didn't hear the line "indivisible with liberty and justice for all" Odd, I wonder why they leave that out. Then it made me wonder if parents know what is going on in schools.
I made a list of chores and will work on tackling them. Nothing undoable, just work. I was able to solve my bathroom window covering problem without going into Lowes. I had a mini blind on another window, it happened to be the same width, and I just moved it to the bathroom, yay me.
Lois, I love your flower garland, so happy and bright. Hope you find those floor lamps. I have a floor lamp by my chair, and it really comes in handy.
Judi, happy painting, I also vote for cod for dinner but after a day of stretching and reaching with a paint brush you might decide to have a pizza delivered.
Maryz, I was just wondering about Valerie this morning. I don't know when she comes home, or if she even will come home. I'll never be done with chores. It's a lot of work for one person and I don't work non stop since I have no deadlines. I can prioritize and tackle it at my own speed. Great bargains you found, yay you.
Jana, I saw the picture of the quilts that were sent to you, they are perfect. Always fun to get something unexpected. Hope your visit with your fav BIL is wonderful.
Lyn, Glad you got the yard and fence repaired. I love most yard work. It's good to be outside when the weather is so beautiful. And the best part is it makes for a really good nights sleep.
Tina, I love Denny's. They have upped their game and I had a really good burger there recently. Yay for no more PT. Will you still need to do exercises at home?
Not sure what I will do today, but it will start with getting dressed and having breakfast. And I have no clue what dinner will be. I still haven't made that spaghetti because I don't have a spaghetti squash so I will wait.
Hoping you all have a fabulous day
Chriss.

Re: Monday April 14,2025
Well my day didn't go as planned and I'm pooped. We decided to take our pond out and re-home my turtles and fish. It's all spoken for and the one guy is coming back for the rest of it at 9:30 in the morning. We spent all day outside and it's been a really pretty day. We're going to have a huge hole in the backyard, I bet it'll take at least 40 wheelbarrow loads of dirt to fill it up, it was a 2400 gallon pond. I'll miss it and my turtles but it was just getting too much for Frankie to clean by himself with these dirt storms so I'm happy to take that off his plate.
Chriss, yep I'll just continue doing my exercises at home. Glad you had another blind that works.
