Good morning,
I have missed a couple of days but everything is ok it's just we have been busy.
I have my quilt all cut out but I'm not doing any sewing for a while due to wanting to get things cleaned up we are changing colors (painting) also will be getting new floors.
Today Olivia is coming to give me a haircut and then we are taking her to lunch at Olive garden.
I hope you all have a great day.
Prayers go out to all in need.
Lois

Good Morning
I know I have been absent but I have been extremely busy. Still trying to clean out junk. And of course I have started my spring cleaning. I have all done except my bedroom ,living room windows, and the kitchen cabinets. I fell behind for awhile in getting things to Helping Hands. But have things ready to go. I will work on my bedroom today. Yesterday I got my hair cut. Its short but I love it. It will be much better for summer. And my curly hair makes it easy to style. I also have been cleaning flower gardens up. Now I need to clean my raised beds.
The humming birds are not back yet. But there are all kinds of birds that have arrived. I also have 5 deer in one group and 2 in another that make my yard there playground.
In the sewing room I been working on three quilts. My heart bargello quilt needs the three sections put together and borders and it will be ready for the quilter. I am still working on On Wander Lane. Slow but sure.
The quilt guild is having a show on April 5.
Oh Lois new floors that sounds great. I need to paint and get new flooring in several rooms. I keep telling myself it will happen. .
Well Ladies I need another cup of coffee and get to work. O I have to play with Barney first. He has to go to vet tomorrow to get a heart worm shot.
You all have a great sewing day

Morning
Lois new floors are great, but the havoc to get there is tiring.
Joe is down with the man-flu..
I am taking it easy as on this coming Monday, I will have 4 of my friends 5 kids all day. DDIL is coming with DGD to help out, if she gets over her flu....
Today is baking day. Oatmeal cookies and apple turnovers. The sourdough cinnamon rolls were so good I was getting up in middle of night to steal one.
Going to torn my teddy bear pattern into a bunny...wish me luck.

Good morning everyone, today Mom would have been 98. She passed away in 2005. I still truely miss her but she had a life full of illness so glad she no longer is going through that.
Not a whole lot new here. Tonight is slow Stitch, not sure if I am going or not. I had a bad bad day yesterday with my GI tract. Couldn't eat most of the day. Most of the pain is gone today and I will see if I can eat. If it feels better still after eating I will go. I will pay strict attention to the diet for the next little bit.
Lori thinking of you while you go through this process. Glad that you were able to work things out with Hospice and he was comfortable.
Denise what a wonderful surprise for sure. Butterflies symbolize transformation, hope, and the cycle of life, representing rebirth, spiritual growth, and the beauty of change. I do remember when you got sick. Good to hear from you.
Lyn did we get the taxes done?
Flo oh my Man Flu, that is serious, hope he is off to feeling better soon. 5 kids all day! funny, I had a conversation with my daughter last night. I guess my granddaughter is bringing the GG done for a few days at the river when we go. I let her know I would love to see them but cannot be left with the 3 by myself. I dont feel like I would be able to take care of all of them by myself. 4,3, and almost 2, too much activity for me. OH steal me a cinnamon roll too please
Katy good to hear from you. I should do some spring cleaning here too. We will see.
For now, I have to go see if I can eat breakfast and figure out my day. Have a great day everyone. I may be back later.

Re: Thursday March 27,2025
Good morning!
Looks to be a wonderful day here. Rained a tiny bit, just enough to dirty the windows. Still warm for another day. That's so nice.
Yes, my deck is done, sort of. It's usable, but still has a temporary railing. Daniel is almost done at Sandee's basement, getting the apartment space for her brother complete. Daniel will be home from California in a day or so. He just needs to texture the walls and paint. Then the railings can be fabricated for here.
Stuart got his new to him truck last night. The insurance company had deposited the money for the burned up Camry in his account, so he was able to go and find a new vehicle. Stu bought a Toyota Tacoma TRD, four door, off road outfitted , four wheel drive truck. It's a 2019 with low mileage. And it's Western Pacific orange - you'd better know that as competition orange. Western Pacific is the loved railroad in this family. Mr G's grandfather worked for that railroad. So orange and silver is in the family blood. I haven't seen the new truck yet, but he'll be by today after work. He and his best buddy also found a apartment to share and will be moving shortly. His buddy is from a family of 9 siblings and a younger sister wants to meet Stuart. Humm, a new girlfriend maybe too. This sister is in college where I went in Idaho about a 3 hour or so drive from here..
Today is get the uglies tamed. And then play time in the Batt Cave. Open windows too! No appointments, how nice for me!
So that's all folks!
Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Re: Thursday March 27,2025
Overcast and the much needed rain has moved into the Gulf.
Chriss, I do have a hexi bracelet pattern. I worked on my sashiko.
Denise, It's so good to see you post. Please let us know how you are doing.
Katy, Good to see you too. Did the farm deal ever get to the closing table?
MaryZ, I know exactly where Fife is. 2006 we bought our first MH from Holiday RV in Fife.
Judi, I have a young lady friend (considered an adopted daughter) who loves to bake. Yesterday she posted a photo of 243 cookies, that's how much 21 cups of flour will make, and took about 2.5 hours to bake. Just in case you need info like that.
I have a story and warning about HL fabric. My friend Margaret found a dark blue with stars 108" that was perfect backing for the quilt she is making. She doesn't always prewash but thought it might be a good idea since the top has a white fabric. I offered to run it through my washing machine. I have a spin/rinse setting and added 2 color catchers. First wash the catchers came out pretty blue, so I ran it again with new catchers. They came out even darker blue. Margaret and I talked and decided to run it on a regular wash with detergent. Color catchers were darker. So I ran it through another wash and got the same results. 4 washings and still color bleeding like crazy. Obviously the fabric wasn't processed correctly. It's HL brand Brother Sister quilt studio. Called HL and they will give a refund.
I got a slow start on the taxes, had to download some statements from bank, etc. We also went to the Chiropractor one last time before leaving next week. So, today I will be working on taxes again.
Prayers for your needs.
Lyn

Re: Thursday March 27,2025
Good morning. It's going to be a great day today. We will see the high 50's and low 50's through the rest of the month, rain on Monday.
I was able to plant three tomato plants. Jerry would tell me it's too early but if these plants produce I will look up to heaven and give Jerry a raspberry and say SO THERE!
I've started stripping paint from a little chair. This chair was made by someone in my family and there are two stories. One was that you had to take your own chair to kindergarten. The story is that my great grandfathers brother made the chair and my great grandfather used it in school. But his brother was younger than him so that didn't work. The other story is that the same man (Uncle Buster) who's real name was Charles McElligott, made the chair as a child sized replica of the chairs in the jury box at the courthouse (established in 1854 and still being used) The jury box chairs have been changed but I also have a hope chest that Buster made for my grandma. He also made a smaller version for her doll clothes. So I am going with the replica of the jury chairs. Very long story to say that the chair has been handed down and when I refinish it it will go to Elliott. If the wood is really nice I will just put a sealer of some kind on it. If the wood is funky I will go with the original white with blue trim.
Denise, I remember the white butterflies we sent you. I think I hosted that swap. So glad you are back in butterflies again, and doing well. Before Jerry died he saw white butterflies.
Valerie, I bet open sew with fewer people was a nice gathering. Sure hope they figure out your sister. Have they ruled out anything chicken related? Wonder if there are rodent issues around her house? Sorry your GI is causing trouble. I agree about not watching 3 little ones alone. It's a job.
Judi, boys just devour anything in their path when they are hungry. Did you ever see the movie Antz where the ants had to provide food for the swarm of locust? teen ageish boys are like locust, they buzz in, devour, and buzz out. too funny.
Maryz, dang, that's a lot of laundry. Nice to get a good deep sleep. I did get tomato plants and Moose chow. I feed Moose Pedigree, not sure why, but it's what I buy. I get the 45 pound bag because I can still lift it. Isn't it amazing how much we will spend on our pets but gwak at buying a $14 can of coffee? My sewing room was also lemon yellow, but now I'm set up in a different room so it's kind of a light green. I prefer the yellow, makes for a brighter play room.
Maryq, I don't own a winter coat. I have a couple of sweaters, and zip up hoodies, but if I were to go to the snow I would freeze. I have only made 90 second bread, but now don't have a microwave so if the bread craving hits me I will need to figure something out.
Lois, it's good to be you, fresh paint, new floors, a hair cut and Olive Garden. Curious, are you getting rid of a lot of stuff? When I went through this house I got rid of so much.
Katy, I love a fresh hair cut. I always go back and forth, long enough to put in a pony tail and short enough to get off of my neck. I'm also still cleaning things out. Just so much stuff.
Flo, good luck. I love apple anything. turnovers sound wonderful. The kids must love coming to your house. It must be a fun place to be, besides, there are always cookies. Hope DH survives the manflu, I hear it's a bad season for that illness.
Jana, so nice that Stu got his truck. A Tacoma was on my list if I had purchased a truck instead of a car. Glad the insurance company worked quickly to get the case closed.
Lyn, I have had fabric like that, it just won't stop filling up the color catchers. It was a red FQ and I couldn't tell you where I got it. I ended up just tossing it. Hope the taxes end up being easy, my refund is already spent.
Lori, I am hoping things are going smoothly for you. Wish there was something I could do or say to make it better. hugs to you.
So the plan for the day is to, sand down that little chair and try to get it ready for paint. Then the goal is to clean out the garage and the spare room. Wouldn't it be just wonderful if I was able to accomplish all three. That spare room is the junk drawer for this house and I need to stop making that happen.
I need to get dressed and get started. Ive had interruptions to my morning, and need to do a thing or two today
Dinner might just be taco salad. I'll see what I have in the fridge.
